BILLY'S POINT OF VIEW
I held Natalie until she finally cried herself to sleep in my arms. Which honestly took longer then I had originally expected. She was so upset. Hell I was upset seeing her like this. I fucking hate when she cries. When she finally fell asleep I lightly brushed her hair out of her face and lightly kissed her forehead.
"Mmm"
God she makes the cutest noises.
I couldn't help but smile to myself as the cute low noise escaped her perfect lips. I slowly pulled myself out from underneath of her. The moment I did she moved.
I immediately froze. Hoping she wouldn't wake up. After she shifted in bed she went still again. When I finally got myself out of the bed I put my jacket and my shoes on and I headed as quietly as possible to my car.
The drive to Steve's house wasn't that long. It took Natalie longer, but my car was faster. When I finally pulled up Steve was outside. He looked up at me with an irritated look. My guess was he assumed I was here to fight him. However I wasn't.
"We need to talk Harrington." I said as I shut my car door.
"About what Hargrove?" Steve asked me as he stood up from where he was sitting. I walked up to him and I sighed.
"She told me."
"She told you what?" Steve asked me with a cold tone as he raised his eyebrows. Which made me click my tongue in irritation."She told me about her ex."
Steve looked at me surprised. I guess what Natalie said was true. She didn't talk about it at all. Even with Steve.
"Wait are you serious? She told you? She hasn't ever told a single person about that." Steve said with a surprised look still on his face. Steve nodded his head and opened his door nodding me in.
Big house. Surprised Natalie doesn't like being here.
Steve led me to the livingroom and he sat down looking at me.
"We have common ground now. So I wanna call a truce Harrington." I said not very happy about it, but I would do whatever possible for her.
"Yeah what common ground is that?" Steve said with an amused smile on his face.
"We both love Natalie and want to protect her."
Steve's smile immediately faded off his face. Which if I'm being completely honest, made me feel quite fucking happy.
"You- you love her?"
I nodded my head at him. "I do and I won't let anything happen to her, but you have to fix it with her Harrington. All she does is cry because she thinks you hate her."
Steve looked at me and rubbed his face with a pained expression. "Shit." He mumbled almost so low I barely heard him.
"How bad is it?" Steve asked looking at me. That's when I decided to sit down with a deep sigh.
"Well she cried herself to sleep tonight. She doesn't even know I'm here right now."
Steve looked at me smiling. "Then why are you here?"
God I hate this guy.
"Because she cares which means I care Steve."
Steve looked at me and sighed heavily again. As if contemplating something. Which I guess he was because he told me about her ex after a few long moments.
"He was her first. First everything. First boyfriend, first love, the guy she lost her virginity to. First everything. She loved him even though she was scared of him."
