Billy held me in his arms after the brutal session. We never talked about it afterwards. We also never actually talked about the fight either. We both kind of just dropped it and acted like it never happened.

let by gone be by gone's I guess.

Things felt different with Billy. I didn't know what and I didn't know why, but they did. He seemed different for some reason. Billy fell asleep that night holding me in his arms. I was up for a while thinking about what happened with Eddie. I knew I needed to tell Billy but at the same time I wasn't sure if I should.

I thought about that until eventually I fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning I was still in Billy's arms. He was awake already and he was just laying in bed.

"Morning."

Billy looked at me squeezing me tightly kissing me good morning.

"Can we uh talk?"

Billy looked at me nodding his head as we sat up in bed facing each other.

"What's wrong?" Billy asked me with a serious look.
"You can't freak out and go all old Billy beating people up. Promise me."

Billy looked at me sighing "natalie?"
"No promise me Billy."

Billy sighed heavily looking at me. "Fine I promise."

I looked at Billy taking a deep breath. "Last night before you came over to Eddie's to get me well he sort of kissed me."

Billy got up from the bed lighting a cigarette and sighing deeply. "I'm gonna kill him."

"No your not. I didn't tell you so you would beat him up. I told you because I don't want secrets in our relationship and I respect you."

Billy turned looking at me sucking his teeth with his tongue. "Fine. Whatever nat but no more Eddie."
"Billy.."

Billy blew his cigarette smoke out looking at me "I fucking mean it natalie. No more Eddie at all. Am I fucking understood?"

I looked away from Billy nodding my head. "Yeah got it." I mumbled lowly. Billy walked over sitting on the bed looking at me.

He's my friend baby, so the fact that he did that is fucked. Did he say anything?"

I looked at Billy nodding my head lightly.
"What did he say?"

I looked at Billy but didn't say anything. A few seconds was all it took for Billy to get pissed off and he grabbed my cheeks. Holding me in place forcing me to look at him. My eyes instantly widened at I looked at him.

"What. Did. He. Say?"

I could feel the tears coming. "That- that I deserve better then you and that if I tried I could love him and that you let me believe you was dead and I shouldn't be with someone who did that."

The second I finished my words Billy let go of my face with a hard shove making me immediately start crying. He turned back around grabbing my throat and leaning over me on the bed. I couldn't stop crying as I gasped grabbing his arm.

"Billy your hurting me."

It's like he didn't care or like he didn't even hear me. He completely ignored me as he held on and screamed into my face.

"HE FUCKING SAID THAT AND YOUR PROTECTING HIM! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS NATALIE!"

I stayed motionless. Frozen in place crying until Billy finally let go of me and pacing the room. I got out of bed getting dressed and grabbing my things.

"Where are you going?" Billy asked me with an irritated voice.

"Don't you ever fucking scream at me like that again or ever fucking touch me like that again. I didn't even have to fucking tell you but I did because I respect you and our relationship. I know that whatever happened to you was fucking traumatic but that doesn't give you the right to treat me like shit! Call me when you calm down Billy.  I love you."

I didn't wait for Billy to say anything. I just walked out slamming the door and getting into my car. Billy was walking straight after me. He flung his door open looking at me.

"GET THE FUCK BACK HERE NATALIE!"

I completely ignored Billy putting my car into drive and peeling off pissed the hell off. When I got back to my house I walked in slamming my front door. The second I did everyone looked at me with a slight jump.

"Uh you okay Nat?" Dustin asked me as I completely ignored him.

"What did my brother do now?"
"Your brother is a god damn fucking asshole." I said to max as I walked straight up to my room taking my jacket off looking at my throat.

I wasn't in my room for very long before Eddie walked in.

"Are you okay sweetheart?"

I looked at Eddie with tears in my eyes. That's when he seen my throat.

"You told him didn't you?" Eddie asked me which caused everyone to look at him.

"Told who what?" Steve asked.

I looked at Eddie shaking my head with tears in my eyes. "I had to Eddie. I couldn't not tell him"
"You told him I kissed you seriously?"

Steve looked at Eddie scrunching his face. "You kissed my cousin seriously dude what the fuck."

Max snorted a laugh "are you mental? Why would you kiss Billy hargrove's girlfriend outta ever girl in Hawkins. Do you have a death wish?"

Eddie looked at me and sighed "well I told him, now he is pissed. He started screaming at me and he turned full psycho and doesn't want us to be friends now."

Eddie looked at me and raised his eyebrows "I'm guessing that's where the bruise came from. He choked you didn't he Nat? Yet your gonna listen to him too huh? Your gonna cut me off like the good little girlfriend you are."

Before I could even say anything at all eddie snorted "you don't have to worry about me again. I'll step back. Billy is that important to you then fine. You ain't gatta worry about me ever again."

Eddie said what he wanted to and walked out leaving me in my room. Steve looked at me crying and went after Eddie.

"HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU MAD AT HER FOR YOU KISSING HER?"

Eddie didn't say anything to Steve he just walked down the stairs. All I could do was sit on my bed and cry.

"Why does she love him so much?" Eddie asked the group.

"Step daddy stuck around but he wasn't really present." Steve mumbled

"Cheated on her mom but she never left him. At first I didn't get it now I understand." Robin said looking at Eddie.

"He broke her heart but left money in her hand." Dustin chimed in.

"Everything got paid for. She made sure her and her sister had way more." Lucas mumbled lowly.

"Then she ever had growing up, when Steve told me the real story I felt like throwing up." Nancy said with tears in her eyes.

"I could see it on her face it was rough." Max said shaking her head.

"It left a bad taste on her tongue. She used to not take any drugs. She would rain all day couldn't wait for the sun to shine." Steve said as he sat beside Eddie.

"And he made it shine. He was there when she cried." Max said biting her lip.
"He saved her life." Steve said rubbing his face.

"Wait she has a sister?" Eddie asked seriously.

Steve shook his head. "Not anymore. She killed herself a few years back."

Eddie let his head drop to his hands. "Fuck I'm a piece of shit."
