I honestly completely avoided eye contact with Billy for the next few days. It didn't stop him from looking at me though. It also kinda killed me slightly that I avoided him. He was clearly interested in me. His staring, his sly smiles and his gym altercation with Steve all told me that.

I kept playing Steve's words over in my head about the gym altercation. I guess Billy asked Steve who I was and Steve told him my name, and that we are cousins. Steve also told Billy to stay the fuck away from me because he was a shit guy not in so many words. According to Steve Billy dropped Steve on his ass and scored. Then told Steve he would go after me if he wanted to. Completely refusing to help Steve up.

"Don't look now but Billy is looking at you Natalie."

I looked at El and shook my head at her. "I didn't plan on looking. Thanks for the warning though."

I walked down the hallway smiling and leaving El at my locker.

"It wasn't really a warning, just an observation." She yelled out to me.

I couldn't help but smile at her yell radiating down the corridor. I didn't look back at her though. I knew deep down if I did I would catch Billy staring at me as well. So I just walked into class. I honestly hated school. Like I freaking despise school. I however did love the weekends. Which happened to start in a few hours.

"Yo Natalie, pool after school."

I looked at Steve and nodded my head as I shut my locker. That's literally all he said. He didn't stop or anything. He just yelled it and kept walking down the school hallway.

"What are you doing tonight? Like around six?"

I looked at Dustin as he bombarded me with his question. "Uhm I don't know. I know I'm apparently going to the pool after school. I don't know if I'll still be there at six why?"

Dustin groaned and walked away.

"Why?" I yelled out to him.
"Nevermind." He replied as he walked over to the the red head. She was smiling and dustin looked irritated. Whatever they were talking about didn't last long, because she walked away.

"Know one likes a freaking smart ass Max." Dustin yelled out to her.

The Max girl couldn't help but laugh as she walked away which made me smile. Dustin groaned again and kept on with whatever he was doing.

"Hey Nat. Are you possibly busy tonight at six?"

I looked at Mike and giggled.

"You know the strangest thing Mike. Dustin actually just asked me that same question. I'm going to the pool after school apparently. I'm not sure when I'll get home, since Steve's the one making us go. Why?"

Mike smiled and shook his head. "Oh it's nothing. We Just have to find a new member for mine and Dustin's game night."

I nodded my head biting my lip thinking. After a few moments passed I smiled at Mike.

"What about one of the Sinclair's. They both like that game you and dustin play. Mike grinned hugely and started running down the hallway.

"Thanks Natalie! Your a fucking genius."
"YOUR WELCOME WHEELER!" I yelled back to him as I laughed to myself.

I looked over and Billy was looking at me again. He was leaning against a locker looking at me smiling. I mean he was smiling wide at me.

Fuck please stop looking at me Hargrove. Steve will literally kill me.

The thoughts in my head were loud as I looked back at him. We just stared at each other for what seemed like a really long time. Neither one of us moving or breaking eye contact.
