I slept completely still and soundly in Billy's arms. It's like for the first time I was actually truly safe. When I woke up I was still in his arms.
"Mmm."
Billy stirred slightly underneath of me as he still had his arms around me. "Are you okay princess?"
I nuzzled deeper into him. "Mhm I'm perfect." I mumbled into his neck as he kissed my cheek lightly.
"We have to get up baby. Everyone wants to see you. You need to eat."
I shook my head no. "No please. I just wanna stay like this. All I need is you right now." I said with slight panic in my tone. The moment Billy heard it he just held onto me slightly tighter.
"Okay okay. I got you. I won't make move." Billy muttered into my ear.
Billy's door was open still so everyone could see into the room and hear the conversation.
"Are you okay?"
I couldn't see max because my face was buried into Billy's neck but I could hear her though. "I'm fine max I promise."
"Do you guys want me to make you something to eat?"
I didn't move or say anything. Billy however did. "Will you please. She needs to eat but she won't get up or let me up so I can cook."
"Okay." Max said and I could hear her walking out of the room. Billy and I didn't move though. We wasn't in bed much longer then another hour before max called. "Foods ready guys."
"Come on Princess."
I couldn't help but whine. I didn't want to move. I just wanted to lay in bed in Billy's arms. The only place I actually felt safe. Billy smiled kissing my head and pulling me from bed lightly. Billy had a hold of my hand as he led me to the table.
"Sit."
I lightly groaned as I took my seat which made Billy, max, Steve and Nancy all smile. I could barely move so making my plate took a good few long minutes. I could feel everyone looking at me as I moved slowly, but no one said anything about it.
It took me almost an hour to eat two pancakes and a few slices of bacon. I was so unbelievably freaking sore.
"Why are you not at college?"
Billy looked up at me from his plate and sighed. "I'm taking a gap year. Finding you was more important."
I looked at Billy and I immediately got a tightness in my heart. Yeah I was upset at the possibility of him moving away, but the fact that he stayed behind because of me I think kind of hurt a little more.
"It was my decision baby."
I looked at Billy biting my lip not saying anything. Everyone could tell I was thinking hard and probably internally yelling at myself. They would be correct too. After the longest breakfast of my entire freaking life Billy made me take a shower.
So I did. It was a slow and steady shower but I still did it. When I finally finished I couldn't help but cry as I seen how bruised I was and the scars I had gotten. After the tears subsided I finished getting ready. Dressed, hair and teeth brushed, and deodorant. After I cleaned up the bathroom I made my way back to Billy's room.
I stopped dead in my tracks when I seen the gun in his hands as he was putting it away.
"Why do you have a gun?" I asked in a low yet surprised voice.
Billy put the gun up and looked at me. "Because I will keep you safe at all costs baby."
Billy closed the distance between us as he caressed my cheek.
