Epilogue

"Have you seen Nes?" I ask, trying to hide the concern I am experiencing from my voice.

"Not since I gave her that bag to put her presents in, why?" Bella answers me, the expression on her face showing that she is confused. 

"She did that a half hour ago and I haven't seen her since."

"She'll be around here somewhere Jake, there's heaps of people here."

"I guess so, I'll have a look and if you see her can you let her know I'm looking for her?"

"Of course."

I leave Bells and keep searching the house, looking for Renesmee and asking practically everyone if they have seen her since she had gone upstairs.

OK, now I am starting to worry. Where is she? She said she would be down soon, it is her party after all. 

"Hey where's Nessie?" Seth asks me. 

I turn around to face him and I guess something gives me away as Seth frowns at me. 

"What's wrong with you?" he asks, sounding worried himself. 

"I honestly have no clue where Nes is."

"Have you checked upstairs? She might still be up there."

"I'll have a look, thanks," I say before turning to head upstairs.

"No worries," I hear Seth say behind me as I walk away. 

I walk upstairs and knock on the doors. The only door I find open is the one to, what I think use to be, Edward's bedroom. 

I see the bag of gifts on the bed and sit down on the edge of it, completely confused. Where is she? Due to my senses I can tell she was in here, but something is off about this room that I cannot quite put my finger on. There's another scent, one that I don't know well but is also familiar from somewhere. But where, I don't know. 

At that moment my message tone on my phone sounds, alerting me to a new text message. I grab my phone out of my pocket, and, seeing that the sender is Renesmee, I go straight into the message to see what it says. 

To Jacob, the 'shapeshifter',

                                            Don't do anything stupid, and tell the precious Cullen family to do likewise.

Don't come and try to be heroes, of course Renesmee isn't going to be somewhere obvious for you all to find her straight away, that would be just to easy!

If you want to see 'Nessie' again, I suggest you all start doing what we say and stop trying to make negotiations with us. If not, well, lets just say her life depends on you all doing the smart thing.
