"One... Two... Three... Four... Five"
It was my birthday... My birthday was supposed to be the happiest day of my life... I should be happy, I was supposed to be happy but why the hell I am crying right now looking at those ten cakes in font of me?
At simula sa araw na to, I never celebrated my birthday again... I'm always happy... I always smile... I always think positive in life but behind those bright sky there's a huge-dark thunder in my head na ako lang ang nakakaalam.
"Mom, graduation ko po bukas, I will graduate as Valedictorian of our batch" I told Mom habang kumakain kami ng dinner kasama si Denise, ang bunso kong kapatid at si Kuya Danielle ang panganay saamin.
I grew up in a busy and workaholic Family. My Mom is the CEO of one of the largest BPO companies in Manila, while my Dad is a Police sergeant officer. My Mom is half-Chinese. I'm living with a Chinese family. Very strict, very intimidating.
"Congrats!" My mom smiled a bit, and she continued eating like she didn't care about what I said.
"H-Hindi po ba kayo pupunta ni Dad?" I asked. She shook her head.
"I have a business trip to L.A, ask your Dad if he can come" Mom said. Tumango nalang ako. Tumingin ako sa mga kapatid ko, and they didn't even look at me.
Years have passed and I'm now in my third year of college. Bs Nursing sa University of the Philippines, Manila. Dad wants me to take up Political science or criminology at sumunod sa yapak niyang maging Police, si Mom naman ay walang pake sa kung anong gusto kong course pero ang dahilan kung bakit ako nag Nursing is because of my Lola.
Karaoke tayis later after finals?" Tanong ni Anji. Isa sa mga college bestie ko. She's gay.
Apiran kita sa mukha, e" Anj fired back.
