ok, so this is a bit different than what i normally do, but i saw this and i thought it was literally so hilarious. i don't remember who i got this idea from, but all credits go to them! even though this is someone's idea, all of the writing below is mine :)
The entire gang was free, so they decided to go to Target together to pick up a couple of things. When they get there, Dally, Two-Bit, Soda, and Steve jump out of the car and race each other to the front of the store. Darry rolls his eyes and walks calmly into the store with Pony and Johnny. Darry wanders off to find the things he needed, so Pony and Johnny are left on their own. They decide to head toward the candy aisle. Whenever someone comes remotely near them, they look at the ground and walk faster. They accidentally make a wrong turn and find themselves in the female products aisle 😂 They blush super hard and run out of the aisle.
Meanwhile, Soda has wandered off to ask every girl his age for their number. Naturally, all of them say yes, because he's stunning 💅
Two-Bit walks down aisle after aisle, aimlessly grabbing random things and stuffing them into his oversized jacket he specifically brought to hide more things.
Dally messes up random displays and puts the shorts where the shirts should be and puts the shirts where the shorts should be. He gets a kick out of it.
Steve hides in the clothes racks and jumps out at random people who are just trying to buy some clothes.
After Darry finds what he's looking for, he tries to round up the gang. He finds Pony, Johnny, and Two-Bit, but the rest are missing. Finally, he finds Steve and Soda surrounding a mannequin. Soda is on top of the mannequin, leaning in for a kiss.
"Soda, absolutely not. Get down from there!" Darry hisses. Soda quickly gives the mannequin a kiss and Steve laughs his butt off. "Sodapop Patrick Curtis, you are in big trouble," Darry yells. Soda just grins and follows the group.
"Where's Dallas?" Pony asks.
"I haven't seen him," Steve responds.
Darry, Pony, and Johnny go looking for Dally and the rest of the group escapes. They're all thinking the same thing. They head to the loudspeaker and Two-Bit makes an announcement to the whole store: "Everything in the store is free!" They run away, but not before Steve farts into the loudspeaker.
Steve, Two-Bit, and Soda run into Dally. They find him standing in front of a huge guy. Dally's got his arms raised and his fists clenched, like he's picking a fight.
"Dally!" Steve yells and pulls him away from the guy. "What were ya doin'?"
"That guy caught me shopliftin' and threatened to tell the manager. I was gonna fight him," Dally says.
"Alright, we gotta find the rest of the gang," Soda says. They finally spot each other and everyone groups back together.
"Dallas, where in the hell were you?" Darry yells. Dally's about to answer when they all see an employee rushing toward them.
The employee looks directly at Two-Bit. "Were you the one that used the loudspeaker?" he says angrily. Two-Bit turns his face away to hide his grin.
"Two-Bit! You did that?" Darry says through clenched teeth.
"Alright, out," the employee says.
"Oh, gee, mister, we weren't tryin' to cause any trouble-" Dally starts.
"Out. Now!" the employee says. Darry rushes everyone out without even getting to purchase any of his things. The alarm goes off for Two-Bit's stolen things, which only makes the gang run faster.
Darry's more than angry, but at least everyone else had a good time.
