Oh boy. This is dumb. I cannot believe I'm sitting down at my desk and writing in a journal. At my age.
Well, she's definitely worth it. And by she, I mean Y/N. Y/N [insert your last name]. I met her about five years ago. The gang introduced her to me.
Was it love at first sight? No, no it wasn't. But she grew on me. And I came to adore this girl. I asked her to be my girlfriend a couple of years ago.
And... the reason why I decided to write in this little book or whatever is because... I'm planning on proposing. And, I don't know... maybe I'm just a little scared or nervous or whatever. I'm having a lot of conflicting thoughts. So I thought I'd write them down.
First of all, I'm nervous that this is too early. I've been dating her for almost three years. And I have no idea if that's long enough to propose. I don't have anyone to talk to about all this marriage stuff. My parents are gone... I sure wish they were here right now.
Second of all, what if she doesn't say "yes"? I would absolutely die on the spot if she said no in front of the entire gang.
And lastly... what would it change? Could I still be there for Pony and Soda? Would it mess up plans to put Pony through college? Would Soda need to work extra to help with the bills? Would the gang approve of my choice?
Despite all of these burning questions, I know in my heart that this is the right choice. Y/N and I can get through this together. I am willing to sacrifice anything as long as I get to call her my wife. I want to do everything with her. Have our first kid. Make fun of her gray hair. Get excited for bingo night. I want to live with her forever.
