Sirius hates the rain.

Well, no actually. He loves the rain. He imagines sleeping in soft covers with Remus' arm over his as the soft pit-pat-pit-pat of water hitting their window accompany them. Rainy days mean comfort and cuddles.

Other times, Remus would turn a little playful and shove him from under the umbrella when they walk home from work. Sirius, with magnificent black hair plastered flat on his face, stares back at him with full offence. The smaller won't admit defeat so he returns the shove. Now they're both drenched and their umbrella no where to be seen.

But right now ? The rain isn't doing him well.

Remus stayed home today. The history teacher is on his mid semester break which means he gets to catch up on rest and some grading. That leaves Sirius walking home alone.

He should've listened when Remus told him to bring their umbrella.

["Re it's not gonna rain. Look it's all bright outside !"

"I could smell the rain. It'll hit right after lunch."

"Nahhhhh."]

And it did.

Sirius arrives home soaked through every layer. When the door finally unlocks, he dumps his bag on the floor and just sigh at how warm the house is. Then, he looks around.

Just like his owner, Padfoot could smell Sirius coming from a mile away and he'd wait behind the door to greet him home. The massive dog would attempt to knock him to the ground with a "hug". But both dog and master is no where to be seen.

Ah. Sirius remembers. The old dog is scared of thunder and there was a horried storm outside. That's the running joke with Padfoot. He's got a soft heart as big as his body. Even the sound of the vacuum would send him under the bed.

But where was Remus ?

Last time he checked, his husband wasn't afraid of thunder. So where would he be ?

Finding the strength returning, Sirius picks his bag up and heads deeper into the house. He passes the kitchen and found it deserted. Same as the reading room. And the bathroom. Except for one.

He hears Remus' voice from the hallway. Talking? No, no. Singing. Remus is singing.

Sirius had an excited grin. Remus has a fantastic voice (not to mention a very hot voice as well). He's just a little shy about it. But with coaxing and if you play that Billy Joel record loud enough, he'll sing.

Sirius is all giddy about it. He opens the door as quiet as he could and the sight inside baffles him to his core.

Remus had the Softest Sweater in The World on. He was facing the window so Sirius couldn't see him but what he could see is Padfoot. The dog had his paws and face over Remus' shoulders as he was carried.

Remus swayed according to the Grover Washington Jr.  song he's singing, Just the Two of Us.  Padfoot clearly looked relaxed, eyes closed and tail wagging.

"I see the crystal raindrops fall." Remus scratches behind his ear. "And the beauty of it all."

He even filled the saxophone bits with ba ba ba. Sirius smiles fondly at them and takes a candid photo on his phone.

When he gets to the chorus, Remus turns around.

"Oh !" The song ends. "Sunflower, you're home."

Recognizing the nickname, Padfoot wakes up and barks at Sirius in greeting. Remus gently sets the dog on their bed and helps Sirius' bag off him.

"Oh dear, you're cold." Remus peels the wet jacket. "What did I tell you this morning !?"

"That was cute." Sirius smiles, ignoring his scolding.

Remus blushes, rolling his eyes. "Not a word Lupin. He wouldn't stop nudging me and I can't type with one hand so had to."

"It's cute !" Sirius says, trailing behind him to the laundry room.

Remus humms. He wouldn't dare turn around right now because he's too flustered to even look at Sirius. He hangs the coat, shoes and, after emptying it, the bag to dry. As he's doing so, Remus could feel sneaky arms going around his waist. He easily swats them in warning.

"You're going to make me wet."

Realizing his husband's level of immature jokes.

"That's not what I meant !"

Sirius groans, leaving for the bedroom. Remus chases after him with a laugh.

Bright bulb popped in Sirius' brain. If his clothes is stopping him from snuggling up to Remus, then he must eliminate the obstacles. Sirius pull the hemm of his shirt over his head and shucks his wet jeans off.

"What are you doing !?" Remus covers his eyes.

Sirius chuckles. The pair of boxers being the last piece of fabric on him.

"Now will you hug me ? Or do I have to turn into a giant black dog ?"

Remus still had his eyes squeezed shut but his hands reach for Sirius. Feeling around the space in front of him until Sirius' guides the hands to his waist. Remus pulls him until their hips are pressed together.

"Y'know you could look at me right ?" Sirius boops his nose.

Remus peeks one eye open. "I'm keeping my eyes closed for your safety sir."

Sirius raises his eyebrow at that. "What could possibly endanger me ?"

"Me." Remus kisses him. "Unless you want me to drive you to work tomorrow, I'd advice to get these.." He pats Sirius' bare chest. "..under clothes."

"Oh my." Sirius gasps at the implication, feigning shock. "Did I really marry Nerdy Moony from highschool ?"

Remus kisses him again. Afterall, it's not his fault he married the most handsome Man in the universe. Remus shrugs.

"Who am I kidding..." He chuckles, bending down to pick Sirius up in his arms, as he did with Padfoot. "Clothed or naked, I'm still gonna eat you."

Sirius pumps his fist in the air. "Yes !"

"Wait.. by the way sir.."

Remus humms.

"The bedroom's that way."

"I'm showering you first !"

Like an angry cat, Sirius holds on to the door frames leading to his inevitable death.

He's dramatic, he knows.
