CHAPTER 13

After three days of sleeping on the hospital, Nayeon convinced her son to go back to work instead of wasting his time.

"I'm still working, mom. I have a lot of online promotions while I'm here. I can upload things and I can monitor the agencies from here." Ryu reassures her. "trust me. I have it all under control."

"hm..." Nayeon looks at him. "I still want you to manage your money properly. You're always like this when you're attracted to someone. I don't want you to be taken advantages of."

"I can always make more."

"there are other things you need to pay attention to. It's not always money."

Yeji stops by her apartment to clean up a bit before going to the hospital later. She sits on the couch to regain some energy.

"I just got back from the company. I'm gonna clean up then go there. You need anything?" Yeji called Ryu.

"it's late. You should just rest. I'll be there before you wake up."

"do you know my password?" Yeji scoffed. "I'll give you access then. are you sure you don't want me there?"

"you've been busy. I'll be the one who visit. See you tomorrow." Ryu then hangs up the call just like that.

"wow. I can't believe he can be romantic." Yeji shook her head in disbelieve.

As he promised, Ryu arrived at Yeji's apartment early in the morning. He walks in and drop his bag on the couch. Just like he'd expected, there's no sign of Yeji waking up. he decided to go to one of the rooms to guess where hers is.

"there you are." Ryu found the room and see Yeji still sleeping. he walks in slowly, trying to not wake her up. he sits beside her on the bed. Looks like she's still in a deep sleep.

Ryu just wait there silently until Yeji's alarm go off. Yeji stretches, still closing her eyes.

"ah!" Yeji got surprised by Ryu's presence.

"told you." Ryu chuckles. "do you have any work today?"

Yeji hums. She then reaches for Ryu's hand.

"what?" Ryu questioned.

"I'm so lucky to have you. you're like the nicest person that has ever came into my life." Yeji said sincerely.

"at least people don't see myself as an evil person." Ryu shrugs.

"I'm not in a hurry. I'm gonna go shower and make us something." Yeji sits up.

"okay I'm gonna wait outside."

Yeji grabs his hand again.

"it's okay. you can wait here." Yeji smiles at him. maybe she can use this chance to tease him a little.

"oh, okay." it's not that Ryu wants to see something. He just thought Yeji wants some company. so, he just sit there doing nothing. Not gonna lie, his a little nervous.

After about fifteen minutes, Ryu can hear the bathroom door opened. Thinking that Yeji haven't dressed properly, he respected her privacy.

"hey..." Yeji climbs on top of the bed, walking on her knees to then hug Ryu from behind. "why are you nervous?"

"I'm not. are you dressed?" Ryu asked.

"no...?" Yeji teased.

Ryu closed his eyes. Yeji's hands are now starts roaming around his chest.

"whoa... did you work out again?" Yeji can feel how tense Ryu got. "I'm dressed, silly."

Ryu can finally look back at her. yes, she's dressed. But it was still so revealing for Ryu. A tank top that shows her cleavage perfectly and a very short shorts that exposed her soft thighs.

"you're staring." Yeji chuckles as she pinched his cheek. "c'mon. you must be hungry." Yeji gets off of the bed from the side of Ryu.

Ryu set aside his embarrassment and follow her outside. He sits on the dining chair while Yeji starts cooking. All he does is staring at Yeji. Her hair tied in a bun, her body line, the way she focused on something. He's the one who's lucky to have her.

"I add extra meat since you love them so much. I have a chocolate milk and juice, whatever you prefer. I made some salad as well since you like to be healthy." Yeji smiles as she serves the food. "how's your mother?"

"she's improving very well. They said that she can go home tomorrow."

"that's great!" Yeji exclaimed. "by the way, my parents asked me something."

"what was it?" Ryu asked while eating.

"since I'm already here, they want me to get married ASAP."

"okay." Ryu nodded. "once it's settled, I'll prepare the accommodation for them."

"I can take care of that." Yeji's eyes widened. "you don't have to take care of everything."

"you'll be my wife. I want to take care of you and your family."

"that's too much, Ryu. I have companies running and it made a lot to cover even our child educations."

Ryu stifles a laugh. His chest feels funny and he never felt like that before. He hides his smile by looking down for a moment.

"what's funny? I'm serious, Ryu."

"it's just... kinda weird that you talked about that. not in a bad way but I don't know how I feel about it." Ryu explained as clear as he could.

"what? We having kids? They'll be cute." Yeji shrugs.

"of course, they'll get it from you." Ryu chuckles.

"did you just flirt?" Yeji squinted her eyes then laughs along with him. "I really like you, you know that?"

"I really like you too."
