Yeji and Julia sits around on the bleacher at the outdoor field. This is their last day of finals and all there's left to do is wait for their result. That's not something they're worried about. Just like any other students they can't wait for prom.

"you know... I ask Ryu to be my prom date. I don't think he wants to." Yeji pouts, swinging her legs alternately.

"that's... unfortunate." Julia shrugs, as if unbothered by her complaints. "many got rejected. So, no surprise."

"... and I'm guessing... you too?" Yeji teased her. "did you propose to him too?"

"I did give him a letter. I didn't write my name, though." Julia looks at her. "I'm afraid that he'll become distant."

"it's just a prom, Lia." Yeji nudges her. "if I'm lucky, he might come to me and take me by the hand, ask me to dance." Yeji sighs, imagining things. "that would be amazing."

"yeah, sure." Julia looks away. "I don't think he likes anyone from school."

"how can you be so sure? did he say anything to you?" Yeji scoots over to her.

"yeah. Of course, he said something, I know him before you do. he said so many things."

"is that so?" Yeji moves back. "good for you, then."

"if you like him that much, you better not get your hopes up. he's not that easy to get."

"I know what I'm getting into." Yeji stares at her. "by the sound of it, it seems like you like him too."

"that's nonsense. He deserve better than a girl like me." Julia clears her throat.

"oh, right. No offense, but I think I'm on his level. So... I might have a chance." Yeji shows her confident side.

"do you even know his type?" Julia fixes her glasses.

"no. but whatever it is, I'm gonna get him." Yeji purses her lips. "pray for me, Lia. I really like him. he's my dream man." She said dramatically.

"I think Jeong would suit you, but, okay."

"why are you so salty about this? I'm just pouring my feelings out and you seem a little... unsupportive." Yeji noticed her attitude. "do you think of me as a rival?"

"I'm giving you logical advice. If you can't accept that, then I can't give you anything else."

"but..." Yeji can feel something is off. "fine, then. thanks, I guess."

Two days has passed. Ryu has a little time to rest before starting his schedule again. Since finals is over, he spent most of his free time playing games. Today is no exception.

"Jeong... you should cover me." Ryu said while his hands gets busy pressing buttons on the controller. "last minutes. Okay. Cover me for real, now."

Since the living area is back-facing the front door, Ryu doesn't realize that someone is entering the house.

"boo!"

Ryu quickly takes off headphones and look up behind him.

"Lia... hey..." Ryu smiles a little. "wait.... Yeah she's here. We'll play again later." He stands up and clean up his console. "what's up?"

"just visiting." Julia sits on the couch beside him. "actually..."

Ryu looks at her, waiting patiently.

"have you read your letters?" she asked out of nowhere.

"you mean, the proposals? Well, most of them looks like it." Ryu purses his lips. "I have read them all. Why?"

"one of them is from me." Julia lowers her head.

"oh... which one?"

"the one with pink paper." Julia is embarrassed.

"ah... the one with wax seal? That's from you?" Ryu smiles at her. then, he remembers what's its content. He supposed that Julia wants to talk about the prom.

"it's a little cringe, right?" Julia let out an awkward laugh.

"just tell me what you wanna talk about." Ryu became more serious. "if it's about the prom, I'm sorry."

"can you just... give me a chance? I know I'm not as pretty as those models that you're close with but I feel like we have that connection." Julia placed her hand on Ryu's thighs.

Ryu gets a little uncomfortable but he tries to stay calm.

"ever since you saved me that day, I start to have feelings for you. I can't contain it anymore."

"this isn't right, Lia. You're my friend. I see you as a friend." Ryu moved back a little.

"I thought... you like me..." Julia's eyes starts to get teary. "why are you being so nice to me? seems like you really care."

"that's what friends do." Ryu stands up, not wanting to get closer.

"go to prom with me. just this once. Then I won't bother you anymore." Julia stands up too.

"you better not get close." He said sternly.

"or what?" Julia stepped closer.

"stop this, Lia... please."

"do you like Yeji?" she asked.

"suddenly? Why did you bring her up?"

"do you like her?" Julia stares into his eyes.

"not in that way. I do like her, just like how I liked you." Ryu replied honestly.

Feeling that this conversation is pointless, Ryu placed his hand on Julia's shoulder gently.

"don't make this hard for us. you don't have to do this."

Julia sits back down. Ryu is facing her, waiting for her next words. instead, Julia pulls his hand roughly and crashes their lips. Ryu supports himself on the couch with one hand, taken aback by her action.

"Shin Ryu! Jin..."

Ryu pushes her and look at the front door. Standing there, Yeji and Yuna froze. Unlike Yuna who's shocked, Yeji looks disappointed.

"I'm sorry." Julia stands up and runs outside.

Ryu sits down on the couch, covering his face. Not that he's blushing or flustered but he's speechless. He regrets things with her. he thinks that he's stupid that he didn't see that side of Julia.

Yuna and Yeji decided to just go upstairs, going straight to Yuna's room. they're just back from hanging out with Chaeryeong.

"that two faced bitch." Yeji slams her shopping bag on the floor. She then aggressively sits on the bed.

"calm down, Yeji." Yuna sighs. "I'm sure it's not like what it looks like."

"no wonder nobody wants to be friends with her." Yeji takes out her phone. "I gotta spill the tea to Chae."
