• derek is naturally a possessive person so it was no surprise when it came to you and keeping you shielded from his pack and anything to do with the supernatural
• you knew all about the pack and the craziness that often surfaced in beacon hills, but the only thing is that the pack had no idea about you
• they didn't know derek was in a relationship with you which shocked you from all the times derek tells you about them constantly invading him and his space
• he often goes out of his way to make sure there's no way anyone from the pack can find out about you
• it's not that he didn't want you around them or them around you, it was mostly due to the fact he didn't want to have to share you with anyone else. he wanted you all to himself because let's face it, derek can get extremely possessive
• you had met derek by bumping into him at the local coffee shop you go to every morning
• he couldn't shake the feeling he had when he first looked into your eyes. it's like he became stuck in such a trance and wanted to continue looking into your eyes forever
• after that day you began seeing him more and more as he started coming to the coffee shop as much as he could just to spend any time with you
• you guys quickly developed such a close friendship and you then found yourself wanting to be around him all the time
• meetings from the coffee shop turned into a cute romantic picnic date he planned in a field of dandelions. that then turned into going to each others places, staying as late as you guys could to get as much time possible
• when things became serious and derek knew you were the most important in his life, he knew he just had to tell you his biggest secret he was keeping from you
• any person would've ran the second they learn their partner was a werewolf. you were surprised you weren't scared of derek one bit
• he was still the same person from when you first met him and knew he would never do absolutely anything to hurt you. especially when he's been nothing but extremely gentle and caring with you
• after derek told you about him being a werewolf, he suddenly became quite clingy and had a hard time being away from you
• this then led to the pack finding out about you as derek has gotten very persistent with keeping you at the loft
• one morning the two of you were cuddled up on his sofa, sharing sweet and tender moments with each other. being too wrapped up in each other resulted in not realizing the pack arriving until they all came bursting into the loft
• to say derek was pissed would be an understatement. the boy was absolutely angry and upset at the pack's invasion of privacy and for barging without letting him know beforehand
• he was growling and glaring at everyone while they stared at the two of you in shock and surprise
• "who's she?" stiles was the first to speak making derek even more agitated
• "not anyone you guys need to know."
• now the cat was out of the bag, derek had no choice but to introduce you to everyone. you felt bad because of how annoyed and upset he was but it was something that was bound to happen
• lydia, kira, and allison were excited to have another girl around. stiles, scott, and isaac didn't mind too much however stiles kept making comment how surprised he was that derek was in a relationship
• "sourwolf has been in a relationship all this time. how did someone as mean and broody as him get someone like her?"
• "stiles!"
• you had to keep yourself buried in derek's arms to keep him calm and from ripping stiles's throat out as he kept making small sarcastic comments
• "relax it's okay." you reassure derek, holding onto his hand and tracing his knuckles with your thumb.
• you ended up telling the pack you and derek have been seeing each other for a while and since it was mainly derek who didn't want the pack around you, you told them it was you who wanted to be comfortable enough to meet them
• when you said this, derek only felt his love for you grow even more as you covered for him. he didn't care if the pack knew he didn't want them around you. but to have you take initiative and take control? it made him happy
• the pack was understanding and apologized for barging in the way they did, promising derek they wouldn't do it anymore
• before leaving with everyone, lydia made sure to plan a girls day to get to you a bit more since you were going to be around a lot more
• once they left, derek wasted no time in pressing his lips to yours and kissing you deeply
• "you're the best." he murmured against your lips
• "hmm i know."
• derek didn't care about anything else. only you and he's never going to let go of you. you're the best thing to happen to him in such a very long time and he couldn't believe how lucky he was
• the love between you two is forever
