YOU'VE BEEN AN OMEGA SINCE YOU GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL. you were only seventeen but the moment you finished school, your previous pack had been targeted by a group of hunters. majority of them were either killed while the remaining, including you, split up to make it out alive. you couldn't find any trace of anyone which left you on your own since. though you decided it was easier for you to be on your own. you wouldn't have to worry about anyone or anything else other than yourself. 

sometimes it did get a bit lonely for you. wolves were always meant to be together in packs. together they were stronger and more secured. a lone wolf, an omega, didn't have the best reputation, they were always viewed and seen as a dangerous animal who could never be in control. omegas never lasted on their own. they were bound to be hunted or killed when found. surprisingly you knew how to fend for yourself and hide when needed. though it was quite the miracle you survived this long on your own.

to your luck, a mutual friend who was a druid in beacon hills came to your rescue. he offered you a job at his animal clinic to help you earn money and to get back on your feet. sure you had plenty of money to live off of but you were still going to need a job to keep things steady. so you took up his offer.

he also explained about the two packs in town that fight together to keep the town safe. he caught you up on everything you needed to know and the two alphas, one being a true alpha. scott mccall and derek hale.

scott had his own pack that was quite diverse in supernatural. his pack consisted of his human best friend, huntress girlfriend, a banshee, and a werecoyote. he was the true alpha who rose to the title on his own noble occasion. from everything you heard about him, he was more fair minded, accepting and optimistic.

derek however was quite different. he killed an alpha in order to gain the title himself. he seemed to only care for the power that stemmed from being alpha. his pack only consisted of three betas. teenagers who were always alone in school which made him choose to give the bite to them, only if they were willing to accept the dangers. this wasn't the only thing you were told about derek.

you learned about some of his history vaguely. how he lost majority of his family in a house fire caused by the known family of hunters. the argents. he had always been alone over the years after the house fire. he was incredibly hard headed, brooding and jaded. honestly he sounded quite terrifying from the way he was described to you by deaton. he did have his positive moments, especially when he worked together with scott to fight against any supernatural threats. but he always tried to get everything to be done his way, wanting to choose the dangerous way rather than a safe and effective way.
