IF THERE WAS ONE THING ABOUT DEREK IT WAS THE FACT HE ALWAYS WENT WITH YOU EVERYWHERE. he always had the excuse of not wanting anything to happen to you and wanting to keep you safe. in reality, all he wanted was to be attached to you constantly because of his insanely needy wolf. you loved and relished in that behavior as you always wanted to be near him as well. however, there always one place and one thing you loved that he made sure to steer clear from. concerts. specifically harry styles concerts.
you lost count on how many times you've seen harry styles. he was your absolute favorite artist and you connected so deeply to him and the music he creates. you went to more than half of the fifteen shows at his residency in los angeles, all of the ones you attend with your best friend lydia. as the two of you were attending the last two los angeles shows, he announced two additional shows in palm springs for his birthday. and without even a second thought you were charging your credit card for tickets.
derek, as well as the other boys in the pack, thought you and lydia were crazy for going to many concerts to see the same person. you didn't care what anyone else thought to be honest. there was always something special about harry styles concerts. sure you've been to other concerts before but, the energy and passion you experienced from seeing harry was undeniably magical.
the concert was tonight and lydia unfortunately couldn't make it anymore which left you with an extra ticket. you didn't care about going to the concert alone, it didn't faze you. you knew derek would have such an issue with you going anywhere alone and there was no way he would go to the concert with you. except you knew if you pushed enough, he would give in. he always gave in when it came to you.
as you were in the middle of doing your makeup, derek came into the bedroom with a pout on his face. he tried all night last night and all morning to get you to stay home with him. usually his begging and pouty attitude would work in his favor but not in this situation. you needed to see harry styles and even derek wasn't going to stop that.
he said nothing as he lifted you up in the chair and placed you in his lap when he sat down. he watched you in the mirror, a frown resting on his face trying to guilt trio you into staying home with him. but you simply ignored him.
