Theodora managed to score a seat next to Brett at lunch, picking at her food as she tried not to stare at his perfectly sculpted face. How could God create such a perfect face?

He was generic looking, sure, but Theodora had done worse.

"Oh my God, thank God you're here." Gigi was laughing at something Brett said, "You raise the hotness level at this office by at least 30%"

"Hmm." Brett looked happily around at his coworkers.

"I mean, poor Theo and I were tired of carrying the weight of being the hottest ones here." Gigi nudged Theodora, smirking.

"Wow, what a group!" Brett exclaimed, it would have sounded sarcastic if it was anyone else but Brett sounded genuine. "Or, can I call you 'The Gang'?"

"Ooh, honey, I love that!" Gigi smiled, "Did you come up with that?"

"Sure did, the gang." Brett said proudly, holding finger guns up to them. "Pew-pew-pew."

Theodora couldn't help but laugh, but caught herself midway. She wouldn't be caught dead laughing at something a guy said.

She noticed Reagan sitting alone behind them, looking sullen. She shot her sister a look before turning back to the conversation.

"What college did you go to?" Theodora directed to Brett, meeting his warm brown eyes.

"Yale." Brett answered proudly.

"Me too!" Theodora's eyebrows shot up, a smile growing on her face. "Don't tell me you were one of those Alpha Delta Phi douchebags?"

"I was! I rushed every frat."

"Oh God." Theodora laid her head in her hands in mock disappointment, "I feel bad for you, I truly do."

"So do I, Theo." Brett shook his head solemnly, "So do I. I went through 38 hell weeks."

"No you didn't!" Theodora's jaw hung open, in awe of his generic white-guyness.

"I swear it!" Brett said, one hand on his heart and one hand in the air. Theodora let out a genuine laugh, whether she could help it or not she didn't know.

"Theo!" Reagan called sharply, everyone's heads going to the table where she sat. "I need your help in my lab."

"Alright." Theodora shrugged, she didn't know what Reagan possibly would need during their lunch break, but knowing Reagan, work didn't stop for lunch.

She followed closely behind Reagan as she strode to her lab.

"What do you ne-"

"I don't like seeing you fraternise with the enemy!" Reagan hissed.

"Ha-ha, fraternise!" Theodora chuckled.

"How is that funny?" Reagan seemed overtired and overwhelmed.

"Because Brett was in a frat. Fraternise!"

"This is what I am talking about!" Reagan groaned, "I know there's something up with him, so stop making him feel all welcome and shit!"

"What did he ever do to you?" Theodora furrowed her brows.

"He took my job!" Reagan spat out, her eyes wide with jealousy but also defeat.

"Reag, he didn't take your job. You still have it. You just have to learn to share." Theodora shrugged.

"Easy for you to say." Reagan muttered. "You've never cared about a job in your life!"

"Hey, I've grown to care about this job!" Theodora defended herself, "Partially."

"Besides the point," Reagan interjected quickly, "Brett is evil, I know he is. I just have to prove it. So can you please stop hanging around him?"
