The next morning when Reagan woke up and went to the kitchen for some coffee, Theodora had made breakfast for them.
"Uh," Theo slapped Rand's hand away from the food, "not for you." She scolded.
"Theo, what's all this?" Reagan smiled, pouring herself some coffee.
"Okay, so, I thought I would make up for being a little bitch all the time. I know it's nowhere near enough to compensate for it, but I wanted to celebrate our newfound sisterhood!" Theo explained excitedly, biting into a waffle.
"That's... actually really sweet." Reagan sat down next to her sister, "Where was this Theo all my life?"
"She's here now." Theodora grinned.
"Oh, you girls don't... hate each other anymore?" Rand asked, frowning at his daughters.
"Nope." Reagan shook her head, placing one arm around Theo.
"Oh."
"Anyway, we have so much to catch up on. Oh my God..." Theodora thought of where to start, "I can't believe you missed my whole high school drama. Oh and college wow..."
"Well, your life certainly was more interesting than mine." Reagan shrugged, "I'm sure there are heaps of stories you need to tell me."
"Okay, let's go back to middle school, and I got my first Cosmo. Note to all parents everywhere, do not give your 12 year old daughter a fucking Cosmopolitan magazine. I think that's where my body issues originated."
Usually, Reagan would be annoyed that Theodora was only talking about herself, but she didn't mind, she wanted to hear what Theo had to say. Her sister had felt ignored and underappreciated for such a long time, Reagan felt like she deserved to finally be heard.
"I feel like the day I got rid of my bangs was a pivotal day for me, I think at that moment, my life was split into two halves; the first half when I had hideous bangs, and the other half when I didn't." Theo pondered.
"Definitely." Reagan nodded.
"Like I felt like I cut off a part of me, like I cut Brad off for good, you know?" Theodora said before laughing, "I'm joking, it's not that serious. But for real, who the fuck let me have those bangs?"
"I think you rocked them." Reagan shrugged. It was like a switch was flipped in their brains, the sister they grew up hating was suddenly kind and sweet, everything a sister is supposed to be.
"Thanks, Reags." Theodora grinned.

"Theo, wake up." Theodora stirred as someone shook on her shoulder.
"Hmm?" She groaned, rolling over.
"Theo..." Another voice called, which she recognised as Rand's. Why the fuck was Rand in her room?
"What?" She opened her eyes, her voice groggy. Blinking, she saw Reagan hovering over her bed, and Rand standing at the foot of her bed.
"Happy birthday!" They said in unison, as Theodora sat up, covering herself with her blanket as it was cold.
"What time is it?" She blinked, as Reagan briskly walked over to her window and opened the curtains.
"Nevermind that! A girl only turns 20..." Rand started, before trailing off.
"7." Theo finished, she wasn't surprised that her own father didn't know how old she was. He could barely remember her name on a good day.
"27! A girl only turns 27 once!" He finished.
"What's with him?" Theo looked at Reagan, who shrugged. "Since when do you celebrate our birthdays?" She asked him.
"Since I found out you were having a party." Rand rubbed his hands together excitedly. "It is open bar, right?"
"Dad," Reagan groaned, "I told you, you aren't invited!"
"Not even a party." Theodora added.
"Is your boyfriend coming? The one who plays the loud music when he drops you home?" Rand ignored Reagan.
"Yes?" Theodora frowned, getting out of bed and pulling on a hoodie. "Why do you care all of a sudden?"
"I think it's my right, as your father, to meet your boyfriend." Rand said matter of factly.
"He isn't really my boyfriend." Theodora shrugged, "We aren't serious."
"Hey, anyway," Reagan said excitedly, she wheeled over a small table with a computer looking thing on it, "here!"
"What is it?" Theodora cocked her head.
"So, I know how you love clothes, and Clueless, so I recreated Cher's outfit-making machine from the movie!" Reagan explained enthusiastically, demonstrating how to use it.
"No fucking way." Theodora's jaw dropped, circling the machine. "How on earth did you manage to do this?"
"Eh, anything's possible when you put your mind to it." Reagan shrugged airily, as if it were nothing.
"You are a literal genius!" She exclaimed, embracing her sister in a tight hug. "I love it so much, thanks Reags!"
"Y'know, I helped make it." Rand added.
"You're not coming to my birthday!" Theodora warned him, pulling away from Reagan.
"Let me at least take you girls out for lunch." Rand said. "Just the three of us."
"Uh, actually, mom's taking us out for brunch." Reagan said bluntly with a shrug.
"Let me come, then." Rand said eagerly, "How should your mom get to spend your birthday with you and I can't?"
"Where was this attention when we were kids?" Theodora quirked a brow, sharing a look with Reagan.
"Eh, I don't know what you're talking about. I always threw you girls amazing birthday parties." Rand shrugged.
Reagan laughed maniacally, and Theodora only folded her arms, "Sure, dad. And fine, you can come, as long as it means you stay home tonight and don't crash my birthday."
"Alright." Rand put his hands in the air in defeat.

Tamiko's face was full of disgust at the sight of Rand when they arrived at brunch.
"What is he doing here?" She asked coldly, crossing her arms in defence.
"We had to bring him or else he was going to crash my birthday tonight." Theodora explained.
"You're having a party?" Tamiko looked her daughter up and down, "Well, of course you are."
Theodora opened her mouth to say something but no words came out.
"Why do you get to hog the entire day with them, anyway?" Rand spat, before sitting down quite loudly.
"Rand, you live with them. I think I deserve some time with my daughters, too." Tamiko spoke calmly, "Oh, and happy birthday anyway, Theodora."
"Thanks." She mumbled, and sat down next to Reagan, who exchanged an uncomfortable glance with her.
The rest of the brunch was painful, Rand and Tamiko were weirdly fighting over how much time they got to spend with Reagan and Theodora, which confused the girls to no end.
a/n: it was killing me having to write Reagan and Theo not getting along so yay
