A while had passed since the 80s mission, and the Ridley girls had been busy with a lot of preparation for their mom's wedding to herself.
Reagan, being the control freak she was, had taken it upon herself to organise all the difficult things. On the other hand, Tamiko and Theodora did the easy stuff, like choose a cake and test-taste the food they'd be serving.
Theo had offered to do more to help Reagan, but this was dismissed, as Reagan clearly thought her sister was incapable of doing anything right. But all the pressure of the wedding was building up on Reagan's shoulders, making her more testy than usual.
On the day of the wedding, Theodora and Reagan were late to work because they had to pick up the wedding cake and the dress, and Reagan was dealing with some florists on the phone.
The arrived late, Reagan was simultaneously carrying the cake and the dress while on a phone call, while Theo strolled in after her, not holding a single thing. The whole room went silent at their arrival,
"You fail me again, and I find out where your family lives." Reagan snapped into the phone, before hauling the cake onto the table. Theodora slid into a chair next to Brett, smiling at him as a greeting.
"Florists, am I right?" Reagan groaned, sinking into her seat, "Thank God our mom's wedding is tonight, I'm so sick of planning this thing. Oh, and thanks for the hand, Theo."
"You are so welcome." Theo grinned.
"Oh, I love weddings!" Gigi exclaimed, "They're a celebration of two souls who got sick of dating apps and settled."
"That's the kicker! Our mom is getting married to herself!" Reagan replaced the wedding topper so there were two Tamikos.
"Taking masturbation to the next level." Theo grinned, earning a snicker from Andre. "Don't you laugh, Andre. If you could marry your right hand, you would."
"Hey!" Andre frowned, "I'm actually left-handed."
"Oh, that's two Tamikos on the invite." Myc opened his invitation, "I just thought your mom was a lesbian and I was racist."
"Our mom marrying herself is just another dramatic stunt to piss off our dad." Reagan explained, "That's why I've been working on an active cover-up."
"If our dad finds out about this wedding, it'll be total chaos." Theodora added with a nod.
"Well, the rest of us are stoked for a cruise under the stars on J.R's super-yacht!" Brett said enthusiastically.
"Please, Brett, mega-yacht. We have an onboard horse track." J.R raised his eyebrow.
"And I volunteer to be security." Glenn said proudly, "I spent my own wedding doing cavity searches of suspicious guests. Turns out we didn't even need a registry!"
"See? Weddings are magical." Brett said, "Stop worrying about your parents and have some fun."
"Exactly," Theo agreed, "I'm planning on getting smashed. Maybe you should, too."
"Classic younger sibling." Reagan sighed, "There is no 'fun' for the person who organised this whole thing."
"I'm sure you can run an entire wedding while being drunk." Theodora shrugged. "I made my valedictory speech drunk and it was fine."
"You were valedictorian?" Myc sounded skeptical.
"Yep. My parents never found out, though. They forgot to come to my graduation." Theodora shrugged, causing the room to look at her with concern.
"Okaaay, Theo's incredibly heartbreaking story aside," Reagan frowned, "I just need to get through this, cause as soon as we re-dock, I'm on the next flight to Bora-Bora. Old Reagorino's gonna lay on a beach and enjoy having blood pressure in the recommended range."
"Ah, a whole week without Reagan." Theo sighed, as J.R pulled Brett aside for a moment, "It'll be like I'm on vacation, too."
"Anchors up at 4 p.m, guys. Don't be late." Reagan said, "Everything needs to be perfect." Her harsh tone made the room flinch slightly.
"Oh, you need a massage." Myc placed his tentacles on Reagan's head, before gasping loudly, "Oh, her mind! The rage! The terror! Oh, we live on the edge of a knife! This wedding could doom us all!"
"BT-dubs, if anyone needs it, I know how to do a bow tie." Brett said, pulling everyone's attention away from Myc's hysterics.

Reagan and Theodora left work early, they had to make sure their dad didn't suspect anything so they couldn't even get ready at their own house. Reagan had even enlisted some help from Cognito to make it look like it was raining from inside their house so Rand wouldn't leave.
"Oh man, don't leave the house." Reagan exclaimed as she pushed open the door. "It's really coming down out there."
"We got groceries so we can stay inside all weekend!" Theodora added, walking in after Reagan and placing the brown paper bag on the table.
"Girls, meet the DC chapter of the Flat Earth Society." Rand was standing next to the TV, and he was clearly on a video call with a bunch of middle-aged men.
Theo and Reagan exchanged a glance as everyone on the video call yelped and ducked from the screen at the sight of them,
"They, uh, haven't seen a girl in a while." Rand explained.
"Why are you in a chat room with a bunch of flat-earthers?" Reagan asked, and Rand muted the screen,
"A few years back, I made a bet with J.R there was no idea so dumb that people couldn't be made to believe it." Rand shrugged, "So I spread the flat-Earth theory, and it worked too well. Now I just egg them on to piss off J.R."
Theo hid her giggle behind her hand, it was kind of funny. "Well, that sounds like a fun distraction for the next 72 hours!" Reagan exclaimed, "Oh, an overnight mission?" She looked down at her phone, "Oh my goodness, looks like work all weekend for us. We gotta go, Theo. You stay here and get cozy. Okay, bye!"
The two girls left quickly, even though Rand didn't suspect anything. Approaching the Cognito van that was parked outside, Reagan opened the doors,
"All right, he bought the fake storm, boys, so he's not going anywhere." Reagan said proudly.
"All clear. We intercepted the wedding invitation." One of the guys said, "Enjoy your mom's big day."
"Enjoy it?" Reagan began to cackle madly.
"Thanks, guys." Theo nodded, and led her sister away. Reagan was still laughing as they got in the car and drove to their mom's house, where they were going to be getting ready.
