Rand and Reagan went from memory to memory, each one glitching strangely. The two of them stepped into another of Reagan's memories, and Theodora's old bedroom materialised in front of them.
10 year old Theo sat on her bed, painting her nails and flipping through a magazine mindlessly.
"Wait, Theo? Why would I remember this?" Reagan frowned as they stayed out of sight of memory Theo. "This is not my memory."
"Oh, it must be a glitch." Rand lied quickly, but Reagan raised an eyebrow in skepticism.
Their heads shot back to the memory as it started to glitch, now 13 year old Reagan sat opposite Theodora, also painting her nails. She glitched away again, leaving Theo alone once more.
"Huh?" Reagan frowned, "Did you see that? I do not remember ever being allowed in Theo's room."
"Like I said, glitch." Rand laughed nervously, "Let's leave. No password here."
They left that memory, and walked around until another memory caught Reagan's eye. "Oh, let's try this one." Rand seemed skeptical but they entered it anyway.
Rand leaned over his desk, examining an invention that 9 year old Reagan had created. Little Reagan watched with large eyes.
Then, 6 year old Theodora appeared at the door, a frown on her face. She clearly had a look of disgust and confusion.
"C'mon, kiddo, stop bothering us for a sec." Rand said to young Theo, "I gotta tell your sister everything that's wrong with this piece of junk."
Reagan remembered this moment clearly, and she remembered it as the moment that Theo swore against anything sciencey and anything Reagan.
But Theodora began to glitch again, instead of a frown on her face as she watched Reagan's invention, she had a look of wonder and excitement, squealing happily as sparks flew from the machine.
"Wait, why is she glitching again?" Reagan frowned, she sensed something was up. From that strange little boy to Theodora glitching in almost all of her memories, something was not right.

Brett and Theo sat patiently waiting for the other two to find the password, she watched her hands in determination as she was very aware of Brett sitting next to her. She could tell that he was upset that he had been pushed to the side.
"T-Theo?" Brett spoke suddenly, and she glanced over to him.
"Yeah?"
"Can you forgive me for not believing your dad?" He asked, his brows furrowed in anxiousness.
"Yes." She grabbed his hand, "I'm not mad. And I'm sorry, too, for turning on the group. On you."
"It's okay, I get it." Brett nodded, standing up, "That was a hard decision to make. I don't even know what I would have done in that situation, either." He walked over to the vat to peer in curiously at Reagan and Rand.
"Careful, Brett, the wires." Theodora also stood, but Brett had already taken a step and fallen into the vat with a loud splash. Her jaw dropped open in surprise, rushing over to the edge and glancing in. "Jesus Christ." She couldn't help but contain a chuckle.

Brett had fallen into one of Reagan's memories, and had tumbled into a bush. He heard voices so refrained from climbing out.
"Ha. Aren't you a little overdressed for the science lab, dork?"
"Why don't you go to homecoming with a book?"
"Literacy burn. Nice!"
"Oh my God, she's so weird."
Brett grimaced as he glanced at the teenagers who had just walked by the bushes.
"Are you gonna let them talk to you like that?" A high-pitched voice sounded from the steps, stopping Brett from leaving the bushes.
"What are you going to do, Theo?" A slightly lower-pitched voice said, "You're like 10 years younger than them."
"And I would still beat them up. This is why you get bullied."
Brett finally emerged from the bushes, "Hey, don't worry about them, little Reagan... I... I mean, girl." Both Ridley girls almost jumped in fright. "Someday, you'll get to have a homecoming too."
"This is my homecoming. I'm a high school senior." Reagan said bluntly.
"Oh, right. You're a genius." Brett looked between younger Reagan and Theo, they actually looked really similar, the only thing distinguishing them was their obvious differences.
"Thank God someone finally said it." Reagan muttered, throwing an annoyed glance at her sister. "Too bad no one will go with me."
"Um, we're not supposed to speak to strangers." Theo stood, she had a camera in her hands, probably to take photos of Reagan for her homecoming.
"He's just trying to be nice." Reagan snapped to the younger girl.
"Yeah, nice and creepy." Theodora glared at Brett warily. "Now pose for a picture, mom wants one."
"You want me to take one of the both of you?" Brett offered politely.
"Oh, I don't want a picture with her." Reagan edged away from where Theo stood.
"Are you sure? You might regret it when you're older and realise that you have no pictures together." Brett said casually, knowing that it was something the two of them complained about in the present.
"Oh, don't worry, Theo's not making it past 21." Reagan scoffed, making Brett chuckle.
"Is that a threat?" Theo faced her sister, "Because you might not be making it past 11!"
"I'm not scared of you." Reagan snapped.
"You should be-"
"Hey, hey!" Brett interjected, taking the camera from Theodora's hands.
"Oi!" The girl yelled, her hands attempting to grasp at the camera he had taken from her.
"Smile!" Brett held up the camera to his eye. With groans and annoyed sighs, the Ridley girls posed together and slapped on a smile. The second after the flash went off, both girls' smiles dropped immediately.
Theo snatched the camera back, and narrowed her eyes at Brett before going back into the house, slamming the door loudly.
"Sorry about her." Reagan sighed, "I'm like, 99% sure she's the Antichrist."
"Um, I know I probably shouldn't interact with your memories-" Brett started.
"My what now?" Reagan looked at him in confusion.
"-but I could take you to the dance." He offered, before reaching into his pocket, "Hey, good thing I always keep a bow tie on hand for dance-mergencies."
Reagan pondered it for a second, "Sure. I guess you seem harmless for a guy that appeared in my bushes. Name's Reagan."
"Hi, Reagan, I'm Brett." He held out his hand for her to take but Reagan stood and opened the door to her house, sticking her head inside,
"Hold on. Mom, Dad?" Reagan called, "I'm going to the dance with a stranger in his thirties!"
"All right. Have fun, honey. Be back whenever." Rand called back.
"If you meet any college boys, bring one back for me!" Tamiko added.
