The next day, Theodora hung out with Gigi as she had promised. Gigi had forgiven her for her flakiness and Theodora's mind stayed on Brett the whole day.

She had messaged him in the morning, hoping that he'd woken up in the mood to talk to her, but he never responded.

Theodora was positive that their relationship was going to be rocky from this point out, if they even stayed together. Even though it wasn't the biggest fight they could ever have, there was still some miscommunication between the two of them that needed to be fixed.

She decided not to message him again that day and give him some space like Reagan suggested, but it seemed to be the longest day ever. She just wanted to go back to work so she could talk to him face to face.

Monday morning came around, and Theo was nervous to speak to Brett, she knew what she was going to say to him and everything but what if he didn't want to talk to her?

"Theo, it's fine, every single couple on the earth get into arguments." Reagan assured her sister as they walked into Cognito. "It would be weird if you guys never argued."

"But Brett's like really non-confrontational. So the fact we did is kind of a big deal." Theodora hugged her body as they walked to Reagan's lab.

"Are you going to find him and talk to him?" Reagan asked as she used her keycard to enter her lab.

"No, I don't want to push it. If I see him, then I see him." Theodora shrugged, chucking her bag onto one of Reagan's desks.

"Okay." Reagan replied, chucking her hair back into her trademark ponytail, "I could mention something to him, if you want."

"No, it's okay." Theo mumbled, hoisting herself onto Reagan's desk and swinging her legs back and forth. "Thanks for the help, though."

"I don't know the first thing about relationships, so I'm probably not the best person to talk to this about." Reagan admitted. "But I'm glad to be of service."

Theodora's hands passed over Reagan's robotic inventions in curiosity, hoping to take her mind off Brett. She got to a robotic hand looking thing, picking it up.

"Careful, I haven't finished that." Reagan warned nonchalantly, glancing at Theo for half a second.

"Is this like, a jerk off machine?" Theodora studied it, "I bet that Andre requested this."

Then, the machine suddenly turned on, the robotic hand gripped onto Theo's wrist. Frowning, she tried to rip it off but it was gripping on there tightly.

"Ah, ow." She groaned, the metal was digging into her skin. "Reagan, help me." Theodora said, laughing.

"Ugh, that's why I told you to be careful." Reagan sighed, crossing the room.

"No, seriously," The metal fingers pierced her skin and drew blood. "get this shit off me!"

"You're bleeding all over my desk." Reagan snapped, rummaging through her drawers for the remote that controlled the thing.

"Fuck, what do you even use this thing for?!"
Theodora began to feel lightheaded as she looked down and saw how much blood she was losing.

Reagan sighed impatiently as she struggled to find the remote. Finally, she seemed to have found it, and pressed a button that released Theo's wrist from the robot's grip.

As Theodora cradled her wrist, the doors to Reagan's lab opened and Brett wandered in,

"Reags, you in here?" Brett called as he rounded the corner and saw Theo there as well.

"Kinda busy at the moment." Reagan grabbed Theodora's arm to inspect it. It was bruised and bleeding, and Theo winced as Reagan's hands weren't exactly gentle.

"Oh God," Brett's eyes went wide as he saw Theo's bloody arm, "what happened?" He rushed over and took Theodora's arm from Reagan's grips.

"She was touching things she shouldn't have." Reagan sighed, placing the robotic arm back where it was before.

"Are you okay?" Brett glanced up from her wrist, meeting her eyes.

"Uhm, yeah." She frowned, biting her lip to ignore the stinging coming from her arm.

"Hey, you got any bandages around here?" Brett directed to Reagan, and began to open drawers here and there to look for a first aid kit.

"Hey, don't just go looking through my drawers." Reagan snapped, slapping Brett's hand away from her stuff and began going through the drawers herself.

"You mean you have worse stuff in here than that homicidal jerk off machine?" Theodora gripped the desk with her free hand as Reagan located bandages.

"I'm not going to ask." Brett raised an eyebrow as he took the bandages and disinfectant from Reagan. He began to unwrap them, and Reagan looked between the pair,

"I uh, I left something in the car," She said awkwardly, "I'll be right back. You go ahead and fix her arm up, Brett."

Theodora raised her eyebrows at her sister and her clear attempt to have her alone with Brett. He didn't seem to notice as he began to put ointment on a cloth.

Theo took a deep breath, wincing because of the pain as Brett began to clean the wounds. He could sense the tension between them, as his delicate fingers worked their way around her wrist.

Theodora looked away, focusing on her breathing as the feeling of Brett's hands on her arm and his body standing close to her was almost more intense than the pain.

"Ow." Theo slipped unintentionally, biting down on her lip.

"Almost done." Brett said softly, and once he had cleaned every wound he picked up the bandages.

Theodora watched as Brett strategically wrapped the bandages around her arm. "Brett?" She piped up.

Brett glanced up at her nervously, unsure what she was going to say, "Yeah?"

"I really need to apologise to you." She started,

"You don't have to-"

"Yes, I do. I'm sorry for the other night, I was being so inconsiderate. I was dismissing your feelings and I wasn't listening to what you were trying to say." Theodora explained as he continued to wrap her arm, "I just sprung to the defence without considering what you were even saying and I'm so sorry."

"I'm sorry, too. For not believing what you we telling me." Brett looked up from her arm, meeting her eyes. "I do trust you, Theo. I guess my insecurity just made me doubt myself."

"I never want you to think I'm not listening to your feelings." Theodora said as he finished wrapping her arm. "They're valid and I'm sorry for making you think you were wrong for feeling that."

"Enough apologising." Brett still held her wrist gently even though he was finished. "We're good, aren't we?"

"Yeah." Theodora smiled at him and Brett's spirits were lifted as he saw her grin, how it lit up her whole face.

She hopped off the desk and hugged Brett around the middle, the force of the hug almost took him by surprise. His chin rested on the top of her head

"I may have overreacted a little bit." Brett chuckled.

"Oh please, I'm the queen of overreacting." Theodora replied, "You're fine."

"I guess I just can't believe I'm actually with you." Brett pulled back so he could see her face. "And I don't want to lose you."

"I'm right here, Brett." Theo smiled up at him, "And you better believe I'm your girlfriend. It's my proudest achievement to date."

Brett chuckled again, leaning down to kiss her forehead. Then Theodora rested her head against his chest as she still held onto him.
