I ran to Katara's room and knocked on her door frantically. She opened it and gave me a worried look. "What's the matter?" She asked. I was breathing heavily so by the time I calmed down Katara had already dragged me inside.
"So....." I started. I started to wonder if she would judge me. It was her brother I wanted to talk about after all.
"Spit it out." She said with an annoyed look.
"Okay, so your brother and I are going on a date today. I don't know where but I do not have any pretty clothes and I don't what hairstyle I should put my hair in." I pointed to my makeshift bun on my head. I had talked super fast but Katara had gotten every word because she was squealing like a bird by the end of my sentence.
"I know we don't have a lot of clothes but I can fix your hair." She said with a smile.
"Thank you." I said as I sat on her bed.
"You smell good. What did you use?" She asked me as she removed the bun on my head.
"I found a bush with fire lilies just outside the temple. That plus some type of yellow flower that smelt amazing." I told her. When Sokka told me yesterday that he wanted to hang out, I panicked. I thought since we just found his dad two days ago he would want to spend more time with him. But he had that cute smile on when he asked me to be up early today which was shocking because he loved sleeping. Zuko wasn't happy when I told him that I wasn't going to train today. It had been hard since I got the rainbow sylph powers back because I had train 3 times as hard as Aang because I needed to catch up. Once Katara was done, I went back to my room. I had clothes from each place we had visited. I had a water tribe outfit, an Earth Kingdom one and Fire Nation armor. I decided to wear the water tribe clothing. It looked similar to Katara's. I could see myself in the reflection of the ice I put on the wall. I looked great.
An hour later, Sokka and I were walking in the forest outside the temple. The western air temple was surrounded by forest so if you didn't look hard enough you wouldn't find it. I didn't ask Sokka where we were going . I just took his hand and followed. After an hour walk we founded ourselves in a place without that many trees so that we could put a blanket down and eat some food. I hadn't eaten anything since I had woken up.
"I love this." I told him.
"Me or the trees?" he asked.
"The trees." I said while laughing. "They make me laugh all the time." Sokka gave me this ridiculous pout that made me laugh. "I meant I love this. The picnic. It's been long since Ive relaxed especially in the last few weeks." I said.
"Yeah, all we've been thinking about is fighting the Firelord." he said and I nodded. I leaned over and gave him a small kiss. He smiled. So that's what we did the whole day. We walked around the forest, ate the food that we had carried and swam at a nearby lake. I had never been so happy in my life. Today, Sokka and I ignored the problems we had. For once we were just teenagers living our lives the way we were supposed to.

I felt a kiss on my forehead then on my cheek then on my lips. I opened my eyes to find ocean blue eyes staring at me with a smile. "Why are you awake?" I asked.
"It's morning." Sokka said.
"The sun is barely out." I whined as I covered my head with the blanket.
"Uh huh." He said as he started to tickle my sides.
"No. Let me sleep." I said between laughs. I shifted so I could be on top of him and tickled him instead. In the midst of laughing the door got opened and we froze. Hakoda took one step in then one step out. I clutched at the blanket to cover me. I was barely wearing any clothes and Sokka was shirtless.
