All the pressure I was putting on my leg was excruciating. I had managed to run and grab a rope but before I landed the rope was cut. I landed on my left leg. I tried my best not to scream. Children who were my age and younger started to land around me. I had my weapons but my left leg wasn't going to let me fight. I stood up confidently in a fighting stance. Before anyone could strike, I felt someone grab me by the waist and pulled me to him. I looked up to see it was Sokka .
"She's with me." He said with authority. I tried my best not to blush because of how close we were. The more I thought about his arm around me, the more I felt my cheeks warming up.
"She's Fire nation!" Someone shouted as people continued to encircle us.
"I'm going to carry you." Sokka said looking down with me with his amazing ocean blue eyes. But before I could refuse, he quickly placed me on his back and he snatched a rope from a boy and we got back up.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"To meet my friend." We ran all the way till I saw a fluffy white creature in the distance. I had seen it before, on the Winter solstice. As we neared it I saw the brown arrow on its head. Isn't this..... " This is my friend Appa."
"Is this the Avatar's?" I asked excitedly.
"Yeah."
"No way! Why didn't you tell me you knew the Avatar?"
"I wanted to surprise you." He said with a soft smile. I returned it. I was now feeling butterflies fluttering in my stomach. I barely knew him but he was making me feel things I had never felt before.
"Can I touch him?"
"After we find my sister and the Avatar." He said as he climbed Appa and helped me up. I sat in front with him and grabbed his arm. This was exciting and slightly scary. Finding the Avatar was easier than I thought. "Are you ready?" I nodded. "Appa yip yip."
Appa started to rise from the ground. This was amazing! "I can't believe you do this every day."I said cheerfully.
"Yup. We live in the sky." He said with a smirk.

Once we landed, I noticed the Avatar right away. He did look like a boy of 12 years who had arrows from his head even to his arms. He was wearing yellow and orange colors which was airbender attire. Next to him was a girl who was looked like the female version of Sokka with her ocean blue eyes and her long brown hair which had been braided. She had worn the blue attire of a kimono and tights of the water tribe. They looked surprised to see me I guess because of my fire nation clothing. I couldn't wait to get other clothes so people could stop judging me."Sokka" his sister said with relief.
"I warned the villagers of your plan, just in time." I smiled as he told Jet who was now furious.
"What?" He shouted.
"At first they didn't believe me. The fire nation soliders assumed I was a spy but one man vouched for me; the old man you attacked." Dao I thought happily. "He urged them to trust me and we got everyone out on time." He faced me. "He also told me to give you this. " He said presenting my sword to me. It had been thrown away while I was fighting.
"Sokka, you fool!" Jet shouted. I frowned. What's wrong with this guy?" We could have freed this valley."
"Who would be free? Everyone would be dead."
"You traitor!"
"Sokka get me down." I told him.
"Why?"
