There he was, smiling down at me with that amazing smile he still had. I thought I was dreaming, really. He looked exactly the same as I remembered him even with the armor when he left to join the war with my father. I rubbed my eyes to make sure to see if it was real. It was.
"Rashan?"I said as tears started flowing down my cheeks again.
"Taliya, it's me." He said as he walked closer to me. I took a step back.
"How ....how is this even possible?" I asked.
"Take a look around." He told me. We were still in the swamp. I expected to turn to find him gone but he was still there, glowing. Then I saw it. Or I can say I saw....me. I...or my body was still in the water, kneeling with her hands over her face. Then I realized what was happening..... I was in the spirit world. But then my hair had turned violet, on my physical body. I turned to face Rashan.
"I'm seriously in the spirit world." I said and he smirked.
"Finally! I thought you were never going to figure it out." He said and I rolled my eyes. I ran up to him and hugged him. I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck and I nuzzled into it." I hope you're not crying again. You've done enough for today." He said. I could even hear the smile in his voice. But I couldn't help myself. My brother was here after two long years. I still couldn't believe it.
"How are you here?"I asked once we both let go.
"Well, you called me here."
"How did I do that?"
"The spirits have been talking. They say you're the rainbow sylph." He then looked at my body." I see that's true."
"Yeah. Sometimes I think it's a gift but nowadays mostly...it feels like it's a curse. It's like it's...."
"Emotion driven." He sighed." It's not normal for dead relatives to see their living families. Even though you called me, I do have a something to tell you to help you with this." He said seriously.
"Wait, so it was you calling me... and Aang?" I asked.
"Technically, no. The swamp is a spiritual place. I guess it noticed you needed help." I turned my attention to the trees and vines around us." Who's Aang?"
"He's the Avatar. I'm actually here with him and two other friends of mine." I said proudly.
"Wow! I didn't expect you to actually find him. That's amazing. I'm proud of you." He said, clearly amazed. Then it dawned on me that he might of actually been there during his funeral that time Mom and I were weeping at his grave stone. I thought about asking him about it but I didn't.
"So you're finally proud of me." I said sarcastically.
He rolled his eyes." I was always proud of you." Then his face turned into a serious expression." I know you haven't accepted my death fully, and even though dad is dead you still believe that it's his fault. I'm not gonna lie; it is but you need to look at the greater aspects of life. The happy ones. This path you're following is going to lead you to a dark place and that is exactly what the dark spirit wants."
"Vaatu?"
"Yes, him. I wouldn't say his name in the spirit world though if I was you. The Spirits fear him. He is the master of death and destruction. I know you might not be feeling you sometimes but you have to remember who you are. Every single time." I nodded. I took his words to heart knowing that I needed them dearly. His face turned into a frown and I already knew what that meant.
"It's time to go, isn't it?" I asked, afraid to hear the answer. I would give up anything to spend more time with him.
"Yes, your friends are somewhere here. You need to find them."
