Taliya's POV
I stared at Zuko in shock. He found the Avatar. I was so excited. Agni had answered my prayers. Maybe I could help the Avatar. It would be so cool to meet him. I glanced at my father who was gleefully smiling at Zuko. I sighed. I was getting ahead of myself. Maybe the Avatar would kill me on the spot if he found out I was from the Fire Nation.I slowly looked towards Zuko who was seething in anger. I had no idea that he was even looking for the Avatar. But then I had no idea what he had been doing for the last three years. No one told me even though I knew my father knew everything. While Zuko told us how he found the Avatar, I couldn't help but stare at his scar. I didn't get it. What did he do? If I wasn't 'banished' from the palace, I could have been there for him.

"Sweetie Zuko's here "
"Yes! Finally!" I shouted. I ran down the stairs excited and I saw Zuko at the doorway. I went to him and bowed. "Good afternoon, my prince."
"Seriously Taliya do you have to do that?"
I laughed. "Mocking you is fun."
"Well it's good to see you." He hugged me but I winced in pain." Oh I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?"
I showed him the cut on my right arm." Not really. My dad did."
"Oh." The silence afterwards became scary. I watched Zuko fume. He clenched his fists and the air around us became hot.
"Anyways, you're it!" I tapped his shoulder and ran away. I didn't like watching Zuko get angry at my dad.
"Hey no fair!" I turned around and he had a smile back on.
"Are you gonna complain or chase me?"
Zuko ran after me trying to catch me. He did at the end because I became exhausted quickly. I had done intense training in the morning. My mom offered us a snack to eat since we had finished playing for the time being. We sat at the table and the next thing that Zuko told me was completely crazy.
"Taliya I had this idea."he said while looking down at his tea,"I was thinking about going to one of the war meetings that my father holds."
I spit out all my tea." WHAT???!!!Are you crazy???"
"No but I am the prince of this nation and...."
"I know you're the prince but I don't think it's a good idea for you......"
"I'm going to rule this nation some day and I think it's best I start learning now."
"Oh good for you. You want to learn how to kill people. That's great."
"Stop that! Our nation does not kill on purpose. The Fire Nation wants to help the world. I'm going to the next war meeting and no one's going to stop me." He stood up and started leaving the room.
"I wasn't going to stop you. I hope you have fun!"
"I will have fun!" He said as I followed him out of the house.
"Good!"
"Great!"

I smiled and frowned at the memory. A week later, my father told me that he was banished. I asked for the reason he was banished but my father never told me. He had relished on my sadness that I might never see my friend again. He then moved us away from the Imperial city so I made no mistakes to ruin the family name.
