It was evening. We had been traveling for two days straight and it was nice to set camp and sleep on the ground." Hey, you guys picked a great campsite. The grass is so soft." I looked at Toph wondering which grass she was talking about but then I realized it was Appa's fur and she was still...blind.
"That's not grass. Appa's shedding." Sokka said as he took his sleeping bag from Aang.
" That's gross." Katara said disgustingly. I laughed at her facial expression.
"That's not gross. It's just a part of spring, you know, rebirth, flowers blooming and Appa gets a new coat." Aang said with Kiki on his head and Momo trying to catch a yellow butterfly.
"Stop overreacting, Katara. You've slept on Appa a couple of times." I said as I went to pat Appa.
"But none of those times was he shedding." Katara said." Ah, the beauty of spring." All of sudden Appa sneezed and all his fur went into the air." Appa stop!" She cried.
"Yeah Appa," I sneezed." Stop." I had white fur all over me.
"It's not that bad Katara." Sokka said as he turned around." It makes a great wig!" He said with Appa's fur mounting on his head.
"And a great beard." Aang said with a white beard. We all laughed except Katara who said,
"I'm glad we have another girl in the group because you two are disgusting." She said as she tried to get fur out of her dark brown hair." And you are supporting them."
I looked at her pouting." What? It is funny." I said.
Toph walked in between Aang and Sokka."Excuse me, does anyone have a razor because I've got some hairy pits." She showed us her pits which were stuffed with fur. I laughed at this. Aang sneezed making Sokka's wig and Toph's hairy pits go away as he hit himself on Appa. We all laughed more and Katara ended up laughing too.
Evening arrived and as Aang made the tent and Sokka collected the firewood, Katara and I were cooking. She kept on glancing at Toph who was doing nothing. It was annoying she wasn't doing anything but I just understood that from the life she just came from, everything was done for her, like me. It was also hard for me to cook and set up tents once I joined them but I ended up learning. Katara stood up, glancing to head to Toph
"Where are you going?" I asked her as she took two steps away from me.
"I'm going to talk to Toph." She said and I sighed. I knew Katara was going to ask her to help." Continue stirring the soup," she ordered.
After a few minutes I heard"I don't understand what's the problem here!" and we all looked up at them. Katara came back a little bit annoyed.
When darkness fully arrived, I came from fetching water and I put it besides Katara. She seemed sleepy, I guess we all were and I could wait to eat and sleep. She seemed to be heading to Toph again and I groaned. What was she doing now? I know what bothered her the most was that she was usually the leader when it came to this stuff, and she just couldn't control Toph. She came back to us with a frown. But I decided I didn't want to ask.
"There's something coming towards us!" I heard someone saying in the depths of my sleep. I didn't mind until I felt Aang shaking me up. I rubbed my eyes. He looked sleepy as well.
"What's happening?" I asked. He pointed to Toph who was saying,
"It feels like an avalanche but also not an avalanche."
"Your powers of perception are frightening." Sokka said as he yawned.
"Should we leave?" Katara asked.
