We were all sitting around the campfire from last night. Aang was making something. I couldn't quite tell what it was since he was kind of hiding it. Katara, I didn't care what she was doing and Sokka was staring at the river in front of us till a big fish jumped out of the water.
"Look!" Katara exclaimed pointing at the fish that I had already seen.
"He is taunting us." Sokka said as I could see, he was already salivating for the fish. "You are so going to be dinner." He ran to the tent and took out a fishing rod with no fishing line. " Hey, where's the fishing line?"
He looked at me but I said, " I don't know."
"Oh I didn't think you would need it Sokka." Aang said as he held it up. It was woven into a beautiful necklace with a flower in the middle.
"Wow Aang that's beautiful. " I complimented him and he grinned brightly.
However Sokka didn't see it the way I saw it." Ah it's all tangled."
Aang stood up. " Not tangled, woven. I made you a necklace Katara, you know since you lost your other one." He smiled brightly. I looked at Aang cautiously. I had started to notice something about Aang but I wanted to confirm it. Katara walked towards him.
"Thanks Aang. I love it." Aang had told me the story about Katara's necklace. I still couldn't believe Zuko had it. It made him sound cold which I knew he wasn't. But I didn't feel pity for her, I would have if she wasn't so mean to me.
"Great Aang. Instead of saving the world you can go into the jewelry making business." Sokka said sarcastically.
"I can't see why I can't do both."
"Just go catch your fish." I told Sokka who was still looking at Aang. He threw the fishing rod in the water but it didn't get the fish so he ran inside with a knife.
"So how do I look?" Katara asked. Aang stared at her like he was starstruck.
"You mean all of you or just your neck because both look great." Aha! I thought to myself. I knew Aang had a crush on Katara .
"Smoochie, smoochie someone's in love." Sokka said from the water when the fish jumped up and slapped his face. He deserved it.
"I...... well......" He stammered.
"Stop teasing him Sokka. He's just a good friend, a sweet little guy like Momo." Katara said while patting both Aang and Momo's heads. Kiki flew into my lap.
"Ouch. He's just been put in the friend zone." I whispered to her and she chirped.
"Thanks." Aang said sadly. Sokka came out of the water with no fish.
"What happened to the fish? Or you were no match for the fish." I laughed but Sokka's grumpy face turned into a smile which made me stop laughing since he was staring at me. I felt colour rush into my cheeks. We suddenly heard something growl and Momo and Kiki flew to where the sound was coming from. Aang, obviously the fastest, got on a rock and shouted,
" Someone's being attacked by a platypus bear!" I watched from afar the way the man was dodging and avoiding the platypus bear's attacks. Aang jumped and landed behind the bear.
"Well hello there." He said with a smile. I hoped we didn't meet another insane person. "Nice day isn't it?" I groaned.
"Make noise and run off!" Aang shouted.
" No play dead he'll lose interest." Sokka said from behind.
"Close one." The man said and laughed.
"Run downhill then climb a tree." Katara said.
