You're enough (Five)

I sat in my room crying. I just got yelled at by my mom. She always yelled at me for small things, but this time I just broke down.

The house was dead silent, the only thing I could hear was my breathing and sobs.

She said how much of a disappointment I was. I've been trying so hard lately. And she never noticed. No matter how hard I tried she never said anything.

I just want someone to be proud of me for once.

I'm worthless.

I eventually calmed down a bit to where I could breathe a bit.

I then heard that familiar whoosh sound and blue light.

Five.

Five was my boyfriend. He didn't know about my mom yelling at me.

"Hey-" He started but stopped when he saw me crying.

He immediately walked over to my bed and put me in his lap.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked.

"My mom." I say.

"What about her, darling?"

I explained what happened and he sat there and listened. He comforted me and rubbed my back.

"Don't listen to her." He says quietly.

"I try my hardest." I say before letting out a quiet sob.

"Listen to me. You did your best, my love. You did all you could. You gave it your all. And I'm so so proud of you. You don't need to listen to her. I promise. Just listen to me. Just trust me, baby." He says as he keeps stroking my hair.

I nod into his chest and I calm down. I'm still crying, but I can control my breathing.

"I promise, you did enough." He whispers to me.

"You wanna come to my house for a bit?" He asks.

I sit up and nod.

"Ok, pack a bag." He says.

I do as he says and pack a bag. I left a note for my mom on my door.

Fives pov

I watch as she wrote a note and taped it to her door.

Her mother was probably the stupidest person I have ever seen.

Y/n has done so much. She's gotten good grades, did extra work, tried to be nice to her mom, and more. And yet her mother still had the nerve, to say she was a disappointment.

I grab her hand with a smile and blink us to the academy.

*Time skip*

She's been here for only two hours, and she already seems happier. Klaus has made her laugh, I've hugged and kissed her, Ben has been talking to her about books, and even Diego tried to cheer her up.

I love seeing her smile.

I love hearing her laugh.

And I love seeing her happy.

I just hope that she knows,

She's enough.
