Those four words.
By that one boy.
"You're useless to me."
They were enough to know that she wasn't wanted by him, or anybody else.
Five says stupid things when he's angry, obviously. And he knew one day he was going to regret it.
He just didn't know that today would be that day.
When he got to the academy and found her on the roof,
"Y/n, darling, please step away from the ledge!"
and she hit the ground before he could get to her.
It left him broken.
So broken, he did the one thing he swore to himself he'd never do again.
"Time travel."
He went back in time a few hours before their argument.
He made sure to do everything differently. Kiss her, get her anything she wants, reassure her how much he loves her.
Because he knew if he didn't, he'd lose the most important thing in his life.
"You're everything to me."
Her.
