Leah and Alex got to the house. Leah had forwarded a message to the others telling them to come to the house. They met Adams there already.
"What's up Leah, your text was urgent." Adams said as he moved to hug her.
"Hey Adams." Alex said.
"Hey Alex." He replied her.
"Hey everyone!" It was Max. He had come with Thomas and Diana.
"We were together in the restaurant, we got the message at the same time, what was so urgent? We had just started eating." Thomas said.
"You only care about food, think of something else." Diana scolded.
"Guys, let Leah talk, hope it's not another dream?" Adams asked Leah.
"No Adams, actually, I found something." Leah said.
"Well what did you find?" Diana asked her.
" A book, a spells book, in my bedroom this morning. I don't know how it got there but I know it's really helpful to us." Leah said bringing the book out of her bag.
"Let me see." Adams said, taking the book from her.
"Leah, can I talk to you for a sec?" Alex asked Leah.
"Sure." Leah said as they walked a small distance from the others.
"Leah, you need to listen to my mom. She's older and is an experienced witch. Our League seeks her counsel and she knows a lot about Darkness too. If she thinks this book is a well thought-out plan by Darkness then I think you should believe her, please." Alex said when they were alone.
"Alex please, I respect your mom like she's my mother too but I just can't agree with what she said about the book. That book is useful to us and I'm not going to just get rid of it, you shout believe me too Alex." Leah said, unconvinced.
"Leah u have a very bad feeling about that book, why don't we show it to the League? If you don't believe my mom you'd believe the League right?" Alex asked, still trying hard.
"Alex the League seeks counsel from your mom because she's just as experienced. They make decisions after hearing her opinions, you know your mom's a big name in our realm too. Imagine what the League's reaction would be when they learn I rejected her advice." Leah said, still being stubborn.
"Leah please."
"Alex I don't want to talk about this, I'm sure the others would agree with my opinion of this book.
"But Leah .." Alex got interrupted by a scream.
They both rushes back to the others.
" What happened? Who screamed?" Leah asked.
Just then they both looked down and saw snakes on Max's leg, two had roles themselves to his left leg and one was already crawling up to his right, Diana had screamed out of fright.
"How did this..." Alex was going to ask but Diana responded.
"It's your book Leah!"
"My book? How?" Leah asked, surprised.
"We don't have time for questions and answers, how do we get those things off Max's legs?" Adams asked.
Leah went to the book in search of a possible solution, probably a saving spell.
"I can't find anything." She said, quickly flipping through the pages.
"With hope, wish, belief, faith, sameness sends you to your source." Everyone looked to her direction and the snakes hissed loudly. Alex repeated the line.
After she repeated it twice, the snakes uncurled themselves from Max's leg and moved towards Leah who was holding the book. Out of fright she dropped the book on the floor and ran whilst screaming.
The snakes moved to the book, laid on it, curled, made loud hissing sounds like they were being tortured with fire and then disappeared.
"Okay was that a dream?" Thomas asked, trying to control the fear in his voice.
"Alex how did you do that?" Adams asked.
"I don't know, it just, came to my head. Or maybe I heard or read it somewhere." She replied.
"Guys Max has passed out!" Diana shouted, kneeling next to Max on the floor with her hands round his head.
