In the house...

"Okay so what now?" Adams asked the three ancient witches after Alex summoned them.

"Well I already told you, there's not much left, I'll start." Alya spoke as she found herself a seat, unlike the usual, Bancroft finding her one.

"Wow, you got a seat yourself." Diana murmured.

"What?" Alya asked her.

"Nothing."  she replied and Arden laughed softly.

Alya just sighed. "Bancroft isn't a servant of something of the sort. You should know we're equals..."

"Alya." Bancroft fit her short.

"Bancroft, I was a League Head, now I'm a simple witch, spirit. Drop the loyalty already." She said, her head facing him.

He only sighed and looked away.

Alya continued. "I think you already know the importance of the amulets. The upperhand Darkness would have over you is the fact that their people are more enlightened and aware of their potential. They would use spells you are not familiar with so you have little defense." She stood up and went to the spell book on a table. She flipped through the pages gracefully and gestured for the rest to come round the table which they did.

"These are languages, most, Latin." She said, using he rinded finger to point at words written in such illegible writing they had to squint their eyes to see then clearly.

She continued anyway. "They are not your regular everyday spells, they have great impact so usage should only be when necessary. You have to memorize them and their effects so you know the right spell to use at the right time. Learn to say them properly. Mostly, these are the trucks Darkness has over you. Remember, work together and he brave, they would try to make you feel small so you lose courage and give you it's what they're good at. You should..."

"I'm sorry but why does thus sound like a pep talk?" Thomas suddenly asked.

"THOMAS!" His team members said in unison.

"Oh, sorry." He smiled, cheekily.

Alya sighed and continued, "Repeating this again, work together. This is all we have for your we believe you are capable. Good luck." She said firmly and walked over to Bancroft, Arden follow behind.

"Wait, you're leaving?" Max asked her.

"I'm done." She said, giving them a half smile.

"But we're not even..."

"You're ready Adams. You're all  ready." She smiled fully now.

"I understand the tension you're all dealing with right now but remember, this is for your realm. We're rooting for all of you. Alex, we must go now. Remember, work together." Alya said, standing between Bancroft and Arden.

Alex looked at her for a short moment. "What about my sister Stephanie?" She asked calmly.

Alya smiled. "Stephanie would do just fine."

Alex only sighed. She went about the procedures to send then away and soon they were out of sight.

"Why was she talking like we'll never see them again, we can always summon them, right guys?" Diana said as the atmosphere became a bit heavy.

"Of course we can." Alex said.

"Wait, how may times have we summoned them so far?" Adams asked.

"Thrice." Alex was quick to answer.

"Three times..." He said slowly like he was trying to decide within his thoughts, "Three times." He said again, his voice a bit raised. He gasped, like he just realized something.

"What if..." He paused, looking unsure but Max had caught on with his point.

"What if, she was talking that way because we'd actually never see them again? They've been summoned thrice by us what if those were all the chances we had?" Max spoke out.

"Max?" Alex faced him.

"No, think about it Alex. The first we summoned them was after binding our circle, when they told us we're not the chosen ones. Second was when they showed us the spell for binding our powers and this... this is the third time. What if all we had were just those three chances to talk to them? To summon them?" Max explained to his team.

Finally, realization set in their minds.

"So we'll really never see them again? Well what if we have questions?" Thomas asked no one in particular.

"I guess they think we know all we need to and they want us to go on by ourselves." Adams said with a sigh.

"Instead of thinking of their departure I say we get to those spells." Diana said, pointing at the spell book. She turned to it and the rest of her team followed. "It'll be sunrise in a few hours so we can choose to go or stay." She said again.

"We're staying!" Alex laughed.

They spent the early hours of the morning learning, practicing and memorizing. Of course they slept off. The rest of the day went just fine in the individual lives of our young witches.
