Doom

"So what did you want to talk about?" Alex asked Leah in the taxi as it drove to their school.

"Wait till we're out." Leah said simply. Alex only nodded.

Leah asked the taxi driver to stop just two blocks away from their school. Alex was going to speak up but Leah just laid for the ride and said, "Let's get down." She got out of the car and Alex followed.

"Leah, the school's still two blocks away, are we going to walk there?" Alex asked her as they stood on a spot.

"Yes." Leah just said and started walking.

"Al.... right." Alex said, following her.

"So wha..." Alex was going to ask but Leah started talking.

"I let someone recently, a witch. She attends our school and..."

"A witch! In our own school?" Alex asked surprised.

"Don't interrupt me Alex and keep your voice low." Leah said, frowning.

"Okay sorry." Alex said, calming down.

"We became friends and I told her everything..."

"Everything! How come you trust this person so much Leah?"

"Would you just keep quiet till I'm done Alex?" Leah asked angrily. Alex went silent.

Leah sighed. "I told her about the book, all your reactions towards it and how I left. But she told me something, she said there's nothing like the two different realms: Light and Darkness. She said all witches are one but there was a misunderstanding among the ancient witches which brought a division of our kind." She told Alex everything Rosa told her.

Alex was as confused as ever. "This girl, what's her name?" She finally asked.

"Rosa." Leah replied.

"Rosa." Alex repeated. "She's lying." Alex said without wasting time.

"Seriously Alex!"

"Leah don't make us start over again with these quarrels. I thought you already came around and we finally got you back. How can you believe all this shit? What stories have the League and our parents told us since we were little? Now some stranger tells you that it was only a misunderstanding and you believe her?"

"It's not just about the stories Alex what about the lies? All of this was just because of one misunderstanding that can be cleared today! Bit we've been told that some witches rebelled and wanted to destroy the world so the realm was divided into two, now I know the whole 'story'. I'm only telling you this because I care and somehow, I thought you'd believe me, bit some things just never change. I'm with Rosa's team now amd you better tell this to the others: Y'all either quit or face your doom." Leah said and walked away.

"Leah, Leah wait! Leah!!" Alex called her but she boarded a taxi and left.

"Could our lives get any better? Why does all of this have to happen and to Leah of all people? If we were ever told that someone would leave is this way everyone would conclude on Thomas. Who would have even thought of Leah? The game life plays with us." Alex said completely broken as she walked alone to school.
