"I say we watch a movie tonight!" Stephanie spoke loudly as she had dinner with her sister and mother.
"Movie?" Lyla smiled.
"Wednesday?" Alex smiled widely at Stephanie.
"Wednesday!" Stephanie screamed.
"What Wednesday?" Lyla was confused.
"You'll see." Stephanie winked.
"Alright, sat quickly." Alex said.
They finished with dinner and retired to the living room. Stephanie was on cloud nine and Alex wondered why she was so excited for a movie. They watched Wednesday with Lyla screaming at intervals and Alex and Stephanie laughing each time she did.
They stayed up late till both Lyla and Stephanie fell asleep. Alex could only smile, being with them eased her of all her fears amd tension. She could only wish this remains forever. She took the movie down and gently tapped each of them, leading them to their respective rooms.
"We'd finish the movie tomorrow won't we?" Stephanie mumbled sleepily when Alex opened her room door.
"We will. Night Night Steph!" Alex said as Stephanie went in and she closed the door.
She sighed. "Well I should have a good night." She said to herself as she went to her own room. She turned off the light and sank into her bed.
Just a few minutes and she heard her name in a whisper. She sprang up from her bed and looked around, quickly switching on the lamp close to her bed. There was no one. She sighed and went back to bed again only for the whisper to return, louder. She switched on her lamp, now she could see something.
There was smoke, or was it fog? She didn't know. It was dark and thick, it made its way to her slowly. Alex tried to utter something but her throat felt dry. She tried and tried, holding her neck with both hands but no sound came out of her, it was like her voice had left her.
The dark smoke moves steadily and soon engulfed her. Hard as she tried, she couldn't speak, she couldn't scream. Soon it covered her and by the time the smoke disappeared, she had disappeared with it.
