"What..what did you do to me?" Alex asked, trying to hold on despite the lack of strength in her Adams. Rosa replied her with a smirk.

Soon her arms gave up on her and Rosa's dark ball of smoke went flying to her and hit her straight in the stomach, throwing her from her spot, she landed on the ground with a loud hard thud.

"Alex!" Jake screamed and rushed to her. Kneeling beside her, he held her head in his hand and shook her lightly. Her eyes were closed.

"No no no no Alex please. Alex please just open your eyes, please Alex!" He cried, shaking her more violently now. "Alex!" He called loudly again but she remained motionless in his arms.

Rosa walked closer to them as she let out a low, dark chuckle.

"Goodbye, cousin." She smirked as she looked down at Alex's still body in Jake's trembling hands one last time and turned around to leave.

Then it hit Jake. The same thing that possessed Diana in the kitchen, whatever it was.

His jaw clenched and his trembling hands folded into tight fists as he got up and looked at the walking figure of Rosa.

Right now he only prayed that Alex was only knocked out because the universe knows how crazy he'd get if he ever lost Alex. But here was Rosa, the reason Alex passed out. And he was just letting her walk away freely in fulfillment.  His eyes turned to Alex's body on the ground for another time and he looked back at Rosa who was already a small distance away from him.

His eyes set on her walking figure as rage flashed dangerously through them, he made the the decision to end her. "Rìvínö esta díl-fyrèta!!"

Rosa who was walking with a wide smile on her face, stopped in her tracks. She felt the ground go hot as she walked and now that she stopped, it felt even hotter. Heat crawled on her body and she started sweating. What was happening? She looked back only for a flame to meet her face. She screamed loudly and looked down at her body only to see that she was...on fire? Fire?!! How? There was no time to think as her screams increased.

The flames grew on her and as it grew, it grew hotter. The hotter the flames the loider her screams were.

Soon her loud screams attracted attention from every other person in rhe house and finding them was easy.

Adams was the fist to locate the scream, thinking it was a group member.

He had teleported to the backyard of the house and had tried moving around the spacious yard but couldn't find his team near.

His eyes went wide as he beheld the scene he met. He didn't even care about the small furnace in front of him. He ran to Alex, who was still motionless on the ground and knelt down to hold her.

His hands trembled. "Alex." He called softly. "Alex." No response.

Tears formed in his eyes. How could they have lost Alex so early into the fight? She was supposed to be part of their victory story and not the one sacrificed.

"Alex!" A shrill, bewildered voice screamed. Leah stood still in fear and shock at the door outside which led to the living room.

The compound was quite spacious with a wide iron gate, a number of expensive cars lined at the left and most of the right was occupied by the wide garden, which took up more space in the compound. A small fountain settled at the end of the garden,  right in front of it was a pool, moderate. Not big and not small either. The water in the pool glimmered with the stars of the sky.

The well tended garden and the pool -both reasonably and intelligently designed to occupy their allocated spaces down to the end of the compound's fence- were designed to let soke space in the middle for what seemed to be a driveway.

Straight ahead were the double doors that welcomed visitors into the house. Four long pillars reaching the roof outside guarded the door, two at each side.

Leah ran through the driveway and down to Alex and knelt beside her, tears soaking her face. She made a move to touch Alex but Adams held her hand, rage in his eyes.

"Don't you dare." He snarled. Leah looked up at him with flooded eyes, pleading.

"Adams I..."

"Quiet! This was what you wanted, be happy but don't you dare touch Alex!" He warned and brushed her hand away.

"Please Adams." Leah begged but their emotional drama was interrupted by a raging Smith.

"Jake!!" He roared as he ran to Jake who didn't stop chanting and increasing the flames on Rosa, making it hotter and hotter.

Smith crashed into Jake and both of them fell on the floor, engaged in a physical fist fight.

Next it was Max, Diana and Thomas running through the driveway to Alex.

Everyone had shock on their faces and they truly felt defeated despite the present commotion of their enemies. But Diana was quick to pick them up.
