"Can you stop dragging me behind you Rosa?" Jack asked, pulling his hand from Rosa's grip.

She had been dragging him, walking quickly so they were far from the basement where Alex and her team were kept. Now they were in a furnished hallway with a number of doors on the walls to various rooms and dark themed paintings hanging on the wall.

Rosa turned to him. "Fine." She said and started walking.

"Stop Rosa!" Jake said, grabbing her arm. "Who was the blonde girl Leah referred to as her best friend? Why did you stop me from talking? Listen to me Rosa, I only tolerate you because i respect your grandfather, you better give me answers." He threatened.

Rosa only smirked. "I have no idea about what you're saying."

With that she snatched her arm from his grip and walked the rest of the hallway before opening a door and entering a room.

Jake ran a hand through his hair. "Darn it!" He kicked the wall hard in anger.

That girl, her voice was extremely familiar and the fact that she was blonde and Leah called her best friend was only adding to his worries. His thoughts were raised but he kept himself calm saying it couldn't be her, it's completely not possible. He decided to talk to Leah so he stormed off to find her.

"They're in the basement grandfather, Alex too." Rosa spoke to a man who stood facing the window in a dark room with the only light source coming from a dimly lit lamp next to a large bed.

He turned and walked towards her. He was old with black hair that had few shades of grey. He gave her a wrinkle smile.

"You always make me proud." He said, patting her shoulders.

"You may leave." He said to her and she exited the room. He smiled to himself, things sure would take a wild turn.

"Jake I already told you, she's no one important." Leah said again. Jake had been pestering her to tell him who the 'blonde' girl was.

"You have just one best friend Leah."

"Stop acting like you know me so well, I have two and the girl in there is not your girlfriend!" With that she left him.

Jake felt just a little bit of relief. He wondered why he wasn't completely settled even after Leah telling him the girl isn't who he thinks she is. He sighed.

"I better just believe her." He said to himself inwardly.

"We really need to find a way out of here. They really thought some ropes would hold us in?" Max's voice sounded in the dimly lit room.

"Well what do we do?" Diana asked him.

"Sometimes, you make me think you're just human Diana." Thomas commented.

"You..." Diana was about to go off on him.

"Guys!" Adams was quick to restore order. "We need a spell."

"But what..." Thomas was going to ask.

"Gravindei findo." Alex suddenly whispered.

There was silence for a split second before Alex exclaimed, "Ouch!"

"What happened?" Adams asked her.

"It shocks." She replied.

"Shocks? What shocks?" Diana asked, confusion evident in her voice.

Alex had just uttered a spell that was supposed to cut the top in two, how did it shock.

"The ropes. I don't know how..."

Adams interrupted Alex before he could go on. "The spell was supposed to cut the rope but it shocks. Maybe these ropes have spells cast on then too. Probably one that doesn't allow other spells to work on it." He reasoned.

"Darn! That's why they had the confidence to tie us in." Max spoke angrily.

"So we have to cut or loose the ropes ourselves." Alex added to what Adams said earlier.

"Uhh... there's a spell on them, how.."

"Diana the spell prevents other spells from working on the ropes, we can cut the ropes without magic." Adams explained.

"Now the question is, how do we cut the ropes?" Thomas asked them all.

"Right." Was all Diana said as the five of them fell silent.

"Idea!" Alex spoke out. "We're tied round a pole from what we were allowed to see, we're close to each other."

"So?" Thomas raised a brow since he couldn't roll his blindfolded eyes.

"So, let's try to untie ourselves. Adams, you're the one on my left. Thomas, you're ok my right, correct?"

"Correct!" Adams and Thomas responded together.

"We're all tied individually round the pole so I would turn my back to you and you turn yours to me and try to untie my hands Adams."

"Alex how is that even possible?"

"Just try Adams! The universe knows just how much time we have left and what their evil plans are." Alex urged.

Adams sighed.

They both moved and moved until Adam's hands could reach hers and he fiddled with the ropes, an attempt to loosen it.

"Adams, come on!"

"I'm trying Alex, I'm trying, damn it!" He was frustrated with the situation they were in.

After a few more minutes of sighs and groans, he did it!

Alex wiggled her hands free from the rope and they flew to her head. She took off the blindfold and let out a deep sigh. She untied her legs and took off Adams blindfold. Crouching low, she untied his hands and left him to untie his legs as she went to untie Diana right next to him.

Adams untied himself and did the same for Max and Thomas quickly. They all stood on their feet.
