The dark smoke rose slowly till it reached their necks and they started coughing. They struggled with their hands in their necks but kept choking.
Suddenly, a flock of black birds filled the living room, distracting everyone in it. Smith and Henry brought their victims to the ground as they used their hands to shield themselves from the birds.
Once all of the hirds flew out of the living room he said, "Sita-blidakis!"
"Thomas!" Max, Diana and Leah screamed in unison as their eyes found him.
"Wha.." Smith wad doing doing ask but started acreaming instead. "My eues! I can't see!! My eyes!!!" He tried moving his hands about but he missed his step and fell.
"Who turned off the lights? This isn't funny Rosa!" Henry's voice sounded calm but the fear was evident.
"Your...boss isn't here." Thomas replied him.
"My what? She's not my boss, she is.."
"Tsk! Whatever." Thomas shunned him harshly. "Get up guys, let's go find Alex and Adams." He spoke to his members as he walked to Leah, his hand stretched to her. "Welcome back." He smiled.
"Thanks for saving us and I'm sorry I..."
"Nah, it's all good. We just need to end this." She took his hand and got up from the floor.
"So how do we know exactly where they are now?" Max asked. Everyone else shrugged but Leah was thinking.
"How familiar are you all with these ancient spells? I'm guessing you had a study time?"
"Now is not a good time to mock..."
"It's not mockery Diana, you and Max appeared in the kitchen, you obviously teleported. You did so 'cus you wanted to escape Rosa, did you even have a location in mind?" Leah asked Diana.
"Actyally, I teleported us and no, I had nowhere in mind. To be honest I thought the spell would just take us somewhere, somewhere I know. A good distance from my former location." Max explained.
"And that's why you both ended up in the kitchen. Using the spell you need a location in mind to teleport to. Without one you'll just find yourself anywhere close to your former location."
"Oh." Was all Max said, realizing like a little child.
"Yes! And I'm thinking Alex and Adams don't know this 'cus if they did I'm sire they wouldn't abandon their members. So they're definitely here, somewhere."
"Yeah they also don't know how the spell works so we must find them, quickly. The spell I casted on their eyes wokld wear off soon." Thomas urged.
"And once it does I'll burn you!!" Smith screamed in threat. The ex-chosen ones had apparently been oblivious to their presence.
"Leah, you should know this building well, where are they?" Max asked her seriously.
"Max, I can't say for sure but they're definitely not upstairs, not in the kitchen, living room..." She gasped. "Garden! We should check the garden!" She exclaimed as she dashed out through the front door as the rest of her members followed.
Henry and Smith yelled their threats after them.
Meanwhile, Alex had teleported to the garden. Finding herself in a space surrounded by varieties of flowers and other green plants, she crouched to the floor to study her surroundings. Certain that no one was around, she stood up only to be met with a pair of familiar eyes, too familiar.
