Always A Leader

Max and Smith were busy in a tough wrestle, using both their powers and physical strength, each trying to overwhelm the other.

Adams was still on the floor, and Leah felt her heart skip a beat.

Thomas was engaged with Henry, bringing in to use all the ancient spells he could remember and Henry looked like his life was just holding on to a thin thread to last.

Leah felt suffocated. Why was everyone close to her leaving her so quickly? She ran to the commotion on the driveway with a confused Diana running after her.

She stood still in her tracks, eyes wide. First ut was Alex, now Adams was bleeding to his death, and there was Rosa, draining the power and life from Jake. The more life and colour her already pale skin got, the whiter he became.

Leah was still for a few seconds before finding her way to Adams. She collapsed on her knees as she cried, losing all control.

She held his bloody hand with one of her hers while the other moved to the knife at the end of his stomach.

He gripped her hand tightly as he tried to speak but ended up coughing out blood instead. Tears ran furiously from Leahs eyes to her already red cheeks.

"Adams." She managed to say as she choked on her tears.

"Le...Leah..don't.." He coughed out more blood and Leah held his hand with both of her.

"Don't take our the knife Leah." He said, coughing. "It's poisoned. We...we can't do anything about it now." He coughed out more blood again with blood streaming down his nostrils.

"No Adams don't..."

"It has.." more coughs. "It has taken effect already Leah. I don't have much..."

Her hand flew to his mouth and covered it. "Sshhh! Don't say anything more Adams. You'll be jist fine!" She cried.

Meanwhile, Diana had gotten to the whole scene and she stood before it all with a blank expression.

Right in front of her was Thomas chanting a spell, which seemed to have an extremely painful effect on Henry as he screamed in excruciating pain and despair.

Next, just behind them, was the emotional drama of Leah and Adams as Leah knelt, crying and holding a bleeding Adams.

After it was the 'physical-magical' exchange between her Max and Smith amd they seemed to be having a tie.

At the end was Rosa, taking all the life, energy and power from Jake, close to Alex's body on the floor.

She didn't know which to attend to so on impulse. She ran to Leah and Adams.

"Oh no Adams." She exclaimed on reaching them, seeing how dire the situation was.

"Diana go save Jake from Rosa please.  Adams would be okay." Leah begged.

"Jake? They're our enemies Leah! Let them end themselves, it's in our favour. We need to figure out a way to save Adams."

"I said nothing will happen to my Adams so save Jake. He's not an enemy Diana! He loves Alex and he only found out today that she's a witch. He was the one who released the furnace on Rosa after she attacked Alex. She ended Alex, she should never get the pleasure of ending Jake too, please Diana!" Leah begged Diana.

"But Leah.."

"Diana..." Adams coughed. "Just go." He said weakly.

Diana looked at him shortly like she was saying a prayer in ger heart for him. She patted his arms and said, "Once a leader, always a leader." She gave him a sad smile, glanced at Leah and stood up.

"Rosa!" Diana screamed, walking towards her.

Rosa gave her a brief glance and returned to what she was doing. Her skin was better and the burn marks were no more. Jake on the other hand, looked dead.

Diana wrapped green thick vines around Jake's body to bring him to the ground but Rosa noticed and increased her hold on him.

Dark smoke left Jake to Rosa's hands and he looked half dead.  Diana kept pulling him down to the ground with the vines she out around him.

Rosa chuckled,  "Sometimes I wonder if you're actually a witch or some forest just gave you the gift of vines." She laughed like a psycho.

Diana smirked and said in a low whisper, "Scápròdentìa!"

Rosa was engrossed, she didn't notice the army of poisonous scorpions gathered behind her and they started making their move to climb her, slowly.

Jake was slowly passing on but he didn't want Rosa to have the fulfillment of ending both him and Alex, he wanted to do something, one thing. To fight back one last time, but his life was leaving him.

He looked weakly at a smiling  and psychotic Rosa and felt the vines of Diana. Doing her best to save him from Rosa.

With the last piece of strength the universe gave him, he chanted; "Lá crucial de'lavïn!" He kept chanting till it started having effects.

Rosa's arms started to fail, it was the same spell she used on Alex. It was now that she realized the scorpions around her. She was so into her deed, she didn't feel the stings on her leg as they moved on to the upper part of her body.

"You sly fox!" She yelled at Diana who was finally able to pull Jake to the ground, she landed him on the floor next to Alex and went to finish with Rosa.

"You really thought a bunch of scorpions could stop me?! Seems you've forgotten the realm I run." Rosa smirked as her lips moved soundlessly and slowly, her hands making ceremonious movements.

Before Diana could make anything out of her reaction, the scorpions had assembled on the floor again. Tails high up to sting and kill, they moved in order towards Diana who kept stepping back, fear on her face. She didn't know what to do or what spell Roa used. She couldn't run, they would follow her anywhere for sure.

"Bombardia!" She said loudly and a small explosion blew in the small space separating her from them. She moved back and waited for the smoke to clear out only to be met by even angrier scorpions.

Fear washed her from head to toe as she watched her death before her, she ran!

Past Alex and Jake. Surprisingly, the scorpions didn't go near the couple on the ground, they followed their target.

Diana didn't stop running. She ran past Leah. Max, Henry, through the long driveway and was making her way to the double doors.

Max saw her running and the army of scorpions as they ignored every person and thing on their path and went head on after Diana.

Without thinking, he pushed Smith away violently and ran after her, calling her name.
