Thomas yawned loudly as he stretched. "Sshhh, quiet!" Alex said. "It's late, we need to leave here and teleport to our various homes, quietly."
She tiptoed to the door, held its handle and looked at the rest, they followed quietly as she opened the door and walked out. There was a small flight of stairs right in front of the door, there was another door at the end of the steps.
"The entrance, probably the only exit." Alex whispered. They went up the stairs with Alex taking the lead and Adams following right behind her, Thomas and Diana trailing behind and Max at the end.
Alex stopped at the door, holding its knob, she placed her left ear next to the door and listened for any sound. She turned the knob to the left and the door came open. They left the two doors open, those people really didn't think they'd be able to escape.
Alex opened the door wider and they were welcomed by a long furnished hallway with various doors at the sides leading to different rooms. On the walls hung different exquisite dark themed paintings, eye-catching. The walls were painted cream and had glitters and the floor tiles glimmered under the bright light of two huge chandeliers hanging from the ceilings.
There were a few items on some glass tables next to a few parts of the walls. There were small statues, vases with different flowers, all beautiful and fresh but what caught their attention was the table at the far end of the hallway, directly facing them in the distance. It was a round crystal ball or was it diamond?
It looked like an expensive artifact or should our young witches say, an ancient crystal ball?
"Guys..." Diana started.
"Yes, me too?" Alex answered.
The all walked slowly towards the 'artifact', it stood there on the table, majestically in all its shining glory.
Before anyone could make a move Thomas had already sent his hand forward but Alex was quick to slap it back.
"Ouch!"
"Quiet Thomas! God, you are going to put us in trouble, we cat get caught!" She scolded.
Suddenly a voice sounded as a door opened at the same time. "Too late."
The owner of the voice stepped out with her arms folded on her chest.
"Rosa!" Her name left Alex's mouth through gritted teeth. In their short moment of knowing each other, the feeling of hatred was already mutual.
Rosa smirked. "Boys!" She shouted.
One door opposite the one she came out from opened and a guy stepped out. Diana was quick to eevognize him as Smith, one of the guys who blindfolded them again when Rosa left the room they were tied in. The door on their right opened and Diana, standing right next to the door turned her head to the right -like the rest of her members- to look at the blonde hair-blue eyed smiling boy that had blindfolded her earlier, Henry. He had the smile on his face as their eyes met.
"We meet again, my lady." He smiled, exposing a set of straight white teeth. He looked good, too good to be on their team else Diana would have been in a tight triangle.
Behind him was a flight of descending stairs and from the little Diana could see before he closed the door, behind him, the stairs led to what looked like a massive and decorated living room.
"Situation?" He whipped his head around to Rosa.
"Our friends were going to leave without saying goodbye." Rosa smirked, a devilish smile that made Alex's blood boil.
"Not nice." Hemry smirked at them and looked down at Diana. Now she read something different in those bright blue smiling eyes, they were not smiling , they were wild. Fearful.
Henry took one step towards Diana and as quick as lightening, Max was standing in front of her with his right hand holding hers tightly. Henry only gave a short laugh as his aura got more suffocating.
"We should leave, teleport!" Alex whispered to Adams, but was loud enough for only her members to hear, hopefully.
Taking steady breaths, Alex and Adams said under their breaths, "Arappate!" Immediately they were out of sight.
Every other person in the hallway wore a confused look but Max was quick to understand the assignment as he muttered the spell still holding Diana's hand and looking Henry in the eyes. They were out of rhe room leaving Thomas there, along.
Thomas was completely lost, he knew the spell and all but he was too deep in his shock to react to his friends disappearing. They'd never used the spell before, all they knew about it was it could change their location, they hadn't bothered about reading further about it in the Spells Book. But he did. You shoud know your current location and have a location in mind to teleport to. Without these, the spell just drops you off at anywhere close to your current location. He could leave here and get far from all of this for now, but his friends.
He was also sure they had no idea about how the spell works so they were definitely somewhere around this building he was in. He couldn't leave them. So before Henry's fingers could get to him he quickly said, "Arappate!" with nothing but his imagination of the outer part of the building he was in. He too disappeared.
"Fuck it! Hopefully they're still around this building. From all Leah exposed, they know nothing about ancient spells. Spread out and catch them. End them if you have to. And wherever Jake and Leah are, relate the situation to them immediately." Rosa commanded as she ran through the door leading down the stairs.
Henry and Smith followed.
