Alya continued,"As I said, it is necessary you bind your powers if you actually want to stand a chance against Darkness, as we say," she paused. "Togetherness till death." Alya, Arden and Bancroft said together.
"Exactly, you stay together, fight together, i wouldn't want to say 'die together ' because you might not all be at the same place together at the same time, just have each other's backs." Alya continued and walked to a moderately high table in the room they were in and dropped the open spell book on it. Sanding in front of it, she said to the others, "Gather here."
They all came to her and stood round the table, except Bancroft, who remained standing in the exact spot he was before.
"This is the spell for binding your powers." Alya said, pointing at the single like that was written through the middle of both pages. She continued, "You do not need to summon us when you want to bind your powers. It is almost the same a procedures as binding the circle, except you do not need the ashes. Gather at midnight, make a fire, stand round it and focus on the flames while holding hands. Chant the spell together thrice. Summon us after binding the circle to know all that is left, which is little of course." Alya explained to the young witches.
"Alright, but what about the spell, why is it..." Adams was going to ask the question in the minds of the other young witches but Alya answered before he could finish.
"This is the way the spell was during our time as well, it was just the three of us. If it's short, that doesn't affect its effect. We would go now." She said, going back to where Bancroft was, Arden walking behind her. The three of them stood quietly as other times, waiting to be sent away.
Alex again, made three lit candles materialize on the table the rest of her group still stood around. She had memorized the spell to send them back already so she stretched her hands over the spell book and chanted the spell. The fierce wind came snd the candles wet off.
It was getting dark already. "Okay, we need to bind our powers as soon as possible so we gather tomorrow by midnight. Now, we should all leave. I will be meeting with the Mistress tomorrow." Adams spoke and everybody said their good-byes with their minds less crowded than it was when they came.
Now they had only one thing on their minds, fighting for their realm.
* * * * *
It wad the next day and it was midnight . The young witches had gathered in the forest where they had binded the circle and Adams already made the fire. Standing round it with their hands in each other's and their eyes focused on the flames of the fire, they chanted the spell:
"Forces that knit and bind, hear my will, join varieties, limits undone."
They chanted it thrice loudly together. The fire roared and sparked wildly.
Still holding hands, they were lifted a few inches above ground level. Suddenly a small thundercloud formed above then as the wind got fiercer. They were engulfed in a thick fog as the cloud settled above. There were loud thunderbolts.
The cloud above them suddenly started producing so much light amidst the thunder, the bright rays spread through the entire environment.
Slowly small objects started descending from the thundercloud, the wind fiercer and fiercer.
Each object slowly revealing itself to he a necklace came above each of their heads and slowly wrapped itself around their necks.
Slowly they were brought back down to the ground. The fog cleared, the thundercloud disappeared and the wind was back to normal."What are these?" Diana questioned, observing the black necklace. It was a lace cord necklace with a metal engravement of a star.
"Amulets " the League Head appeared. They all turned to her. "You are to wear it at all times, do not take it off no matter what. It is for your safety and whoever takes theirs off disconnects themselves from the bond."
"Mistress." Adams gave a low bow to her. "There are.." she interrupted.
"Yes Adams, u have come to know of everything. I believe in all of you no matter what." Mistress Alberta said, patting his shoulder. "You all keep doing your best, never entertain fear." She smiled at the others and with that she was out of sight.
"I say we summon the ancients immediately." Alex said.
"Right, we should head to the house first." Adams responded.
