Three days later Alex and her group met at a forest. For the ritual to take place effectively they needed a bigger and open space with direct access to nature. Adams got some ash for the ritual which he poured on the ground, forming a big circle. Then he put some woods together and made a fire in the middle of the circle. The five group members stepped into the ash circle Adams made and held their hands together. The ritual was to bind the circle -their circle- it created a.compleye sense of unity in them and was meant to increase their power when they work together, at least that was what they were told.

Holding hands with full focus on the roaring flames, they chanted the lines for the ritual together:
'Ash combine,
Ash become
A barrier in which
No being may go through.
For in togetherness we live,
Amd in togetherness we die.'

They chanted the lines thrice and the fire roared and lit up wildly. They closed their eyes for what seemed like thirty seconds and when they opened it, the Mistress was standing next to the fire.

"Mistress." Adams said, taking a low bow.

"You have all done well. Now, you know this fight has been on for ages but we only hope this is the last battle. You will need to get the spell book of the ancients. You need more knowledge and more tricks and spells up your sleeves." She said, not moving from the spot she stood on.

"But Mistress, how do we get the book?" Alex asked her.

"Come here." She replied and Alex moved and stood before her.

She placed her hands on the sides of Alex's face and closed her eyes, her lips started moving.

Few seconds after she disappeared and Alex fell to her knees. Adams rushed to her, "Are you fine?" He asked.

"Yes, yes I am. We need to get the Spell Book. First, let's get to the house." She said standing up from the ground, the rest followed.

In the house, she stood in front of a table, closed her eyes, stretched her hands over the table and chanted the spell:
"I call upon the Ancients
To give me aid this hour
To get the great book of spells
Of those of you who fought for light
Three by three with your aid
My spell will show in three counts!"

She silently counted till 3 and the room was filled with a lot of light and a strong force pushed them all to the ground. When the light was gone, they stood up and found a book on the table Alex had stretched her hands over. Yes! They had gotten the Spell Book.

They all looked at the book, not sure of what to do until Adams nodded at Alex. She nodded back, sent towards the book and opened it. Suddenly the pages started flipping on its own and Alex stepped back. It finally stopped and they all stood still for a minute, incase of anything. When she felt all was cool, Alex went to the book and looked into the page, she saw a surprising picture in black and white, it was more like a sketch.

It was a sketch of them, the five of them. They were all in battle positions and a group of people were standing opposite them. What was surprising was the person standing with their opponents, Leah.

"Guys come look at this." Alex said, surprised.

"This is... this is..." Adams was at a loss for words.

"Thus us exactly what us going on and sadly, what would be the end. Leah, Leah is gone." Diana said.

The pages flipped again to another page. There were no drawings or sketches, but there was a spell. It was a spell to summon the spirits of the ancient witches. Their names were already in the book.b

"Okay...so what do we do now?" Thomas asked.

"I guess we summon them, we need them anyway." Max said.

Just then the book pages flipped again and revealed another sketch, a different one. This image showed another group of people, they were also teenagers, they were standing upright, facing another group. But someone was seated in the middle of both groups, she looked so familiar.

"Stephanie!" Alex shouted.
