- FIVE YEARS AFTER THE VIRUS BROKE -

Aurelia was laying across his chest, her fingers sprinkling tiny sparks of magic throughout his body.

This, this was peace.

He had never known peace before her.

Suddenly, the silent alarm triggered on his tracker and he shot up, "Woah, hey what is it?" she gasped, sleepily sitting up whilst rubbing her eyes.

He frowned, "The silent alarms been triggered, I need to go check it out." He spoke softly, kissing her forehead.

She leaned into his touch, "...Be careful" She muttered.

He nodded, a bad feeling sinking in his stomach.

Tip-toeing over to the door, he carefully slid it open, listening out for any suspicious noises, "Do you hear anything?" Her voice was quiet.

He heard nothing, shaking his head. He was about to go back inside when a low growling sound echoed through the hallways.

It sounded like... walkers

Anxiety rippled in his stomach, crashing over him.

"Aurelia, baby- get your shoes on." He said, putting his hand out for her to grab.

"W-what? Why?"

The bedsheets rustled as she quickly pulled on her boots, fastening the laces tightly.

Closing the sliding door as quietly as he could, he pulled out his phone to text B Wing to see if they knew anything.

Ally was just pulling on her jacket when an alarm sounded through the building.

"Jace, I'm scared." Aurelia pleaded, a terrified look on her face, "What are those things?" She questioned, Jace didn't have time to answer.

The door was suddenly pulled open, Ollie, Gwen and Rez rushing inside, slamming the door behind them. Red lights were clouding his visions, short, loud alarms making his ears ring.

"I don't know how they got inside but they're everywhere, you have two minutes to pack your shit and then we're out."

They wasted no time, and with seconds to spare, Ollie chucked him a gun, strapping a face mask to his own face before helping everyone else.

"See you on the flip-side." He smirked, guns-a-blazing as he ran head-first into the lions den.

- AURELIA JONES -

That was five years ago.

The man I once knew was no longer known.

The friends I once had are now six feet under, and the only thing I have left of them is memories.

All I know, is that I woke up three weeks later with no recollection of anything except for him, only to find that he left two days after I was hurt and I haven't heard a lick of him since.

He could be dead. And I could be pining over a dead guy!

I mean, for fucks-sakes. I've been fighting this apocalypse for 10 years, I'm not about to spend another fighting it alone.
