- AURELIA JONES -
"As of tomorrow, effective immediately, we'll be sending teams of 5 out to three different quarantine zones in New York."
Everyone started to protest, yelling profanities at Jace and at each other.
"I have no other option but this. We are running low on food supply, we have a weeks worth of rations and that's it. Not two weeks, one. And that's pushing it."
His voice was firm. "Half of the names on this list are volunteered men. It's not too late to sign up, and we'll be forever indebted to you if you do this."
He takes a deep breath, "I will also be participating in this trek. I don't trust the other leaders to not kill you."
What? No, he can't go.
I just got him back.
"Three teams. Groups of five. We leave at dawn, any questions you come through me."
And with that he left.
My mouth was agape, unable to close. Ollie and Rez walked off with Jace which gives me the indication that they're also apart of this.
I stormed after them, nearly getting hit in the face with a door as I barged into his office.
"Are you fucking kidding me right now?" I swore, "You guys are basically going on a suicide mission!" I yelled, "Are you dumb? Why are you doing this? I know our supplies are low but there are better ways of doing this, that doesn't include going head first into the lions den!"
All three of them were looking at me like I had no head. "I just got you guys back." My voice cracked and my shoulders dropped.
"I don't want to lose you again."
Rez sent me a smile and Ollie made a "tsk" sound and then gushed, "You care about us! I knew you had a heart in there somewhere." He teased.
I rolled my eyes, "Fine. If you guys are going, I'm coming too." I smirked, crossing my arms over my chest.
Jace sent me a look whilst Rez and Ollie laughed, "Don't be silly."
I shrugged, "I'm not. I'm serious."
"Well don't be serious. You're not coming."
I frowned, "Yes, I am."
"No!" The three of them said at the same time. "You can't stop me. I'll see you at the quad tomorrow at dawn."
I left after that, heading to my room to pack my bag.
I didn't have much to pack, just some extra clothes, my notebook and miscellaneous items like that.
"You're not coming Aurelia and that's final, okay?" Jace stormed in to my room, "Ah, how about no."
My eyebrows were strewed in a line, angrily watching as Jace rubbed his eyes. "You're so annoying." He mumbled.
"It's a death wish alright, that's why I don't want you coming. I'm not sure if half of us are coming back alive."
"That's exactly why I'm coming. If we're going to die I want to die together. I am not leaving you guys again, end of story."
