- AURELIA JONES -

The day was long, but it was productive. We got through so much and it was refreshing to see things finally going our way.

Not to jinx it, but I had a good feeling.

The boys had managed to fit the shutters onto half the house, including the kitchen and bathrooms.

Tomorrow they're doing the bedrooms and every other window.

I only had to throw out a few items of food including a very mouldy piece of something that I couldn't identify.

Angel made a large box of medical supplies and organised the shelves so we could find everything.

The only things we really needed was feminine products and toilet paper.

With the exception of underwear and socks of course.

"So it's working? You're sure?" I asked excitedly, Rez's hand eagerly waiting to turn the knob on the sink.

Myself, Angel, Shoju and Lyza watched in anticipation as the knob turned.

At first, nothing but a drop of water came out until it all whooshed out at once.

I clapped my hands, a whistle from Shoju breaking the silence.

"Finally! I can't tell you how long I've waited for a hot shower!" Angel exclaimed.

Ollie was still laying unconscious, but we'd moved him to the living room so we was comfortable when he woke up.

His face was less pale then when he went out and his foot seemed to be okay.

"There's only one more thing we need to sort-" Angel said, looking at the paper, "Who's sleeping where."

We looked between us. "I want my room!" Lyza yelled, defensive.

Shit. The first problem.

"Until Ollie wakes up, I'll take the couch. The girls can have the master and Shoju you can have the spare."

Shoju shook his head, "No man- you guys were here first. I'm some random guy that tagged along."

Rez put his hand up, "I insist. Besides, I wanna be here when he wakes up."

"Okay it's settled. We'll talk more in the morning."

+ + +

Except morning never came.

It was pitch black when we all met up again, except this time we were huddled in the hallway between the front door and living room.

"There's definitely something out there." Angel whispered, clinging on to me in a sleepy daze. I nodded, "I heard it too." I agreed.

"What about Ol? We can't just leave him in there." I stressed, "Shit ok, you're right. Wait here."

"No Rez- be careful!" Angel pleaded, moving her hands from my arm to his.
