- AURELIA JONES -

Aurelia,

Use this information wisely because if it falls into the wrong hands, you don't have much time left.

There's a boat docked at Williamson Marina in Burlington, Vermont. It should be stocked with supplies for a few days; food, water, medical. Get there and take it North toward Quebec, there's a safe house on the boarder of Canada.

It hasn't been used in years. There's a gun safe in the basement loaded with ammunition that should last a while, spare clothes in the closets and three bedrooms with beds and blankets. Get yourself there and stay safe.

The map Lyza gave you is a decoy, a distraction for the Rebellion. They're always watching, even when you think they aren't.

In my husbands office, there is a blueprint of the hospital in which he conducted an experiment. That experiment being project X. I'm sure you're aware of it by now, but I'm not sure you understand the full extent.

Project X was a top-secret government filed experiment to test a cure for zombie-deer on humans, to see if the symptoms were the same as the common cold and what treatments were animal-safe. But, all hell broke loose after one of the patients turned rabid from one too many doses, and the lab exploded.

However those who survived the explosion will have complete immunity from the outbreak, as their immune systems were strong enough to fight back the virus. Basically saying they're invincible.

The scientists never figured out a solution for the problem, but they were close to finishing. Very close. I hope you'll take over their research and find what they were working on. You'll know it when you see it.

Please take care of my Lyza,

Goodluck to you,
Marion.

All of a sudden I'd forgotten how to breathe.

Nothing made sense.

I looked at Shoju with tears in my eyes, he looked at me with concern.

I swallowed thickly, anxiety bubbling in my stomach. How do I know this is true? Why would Marion leave this for me?

My knees were shaking, then my body. And soon I felt myself crashing to the ground. Every thought, every feeling came back up again, a loud cry ripping through me.

I watched Shoju come over to me, pulling me into his arms quickly.

A stranger, comforting another stranger. I feel safe. This feels right. It doesn't feel like Jace.

"...Aurelia." Shoju said, but his voice was fading in and out. I sobbed and sobbed, laboured breathing with a heavy heart, everything hurt.

"Aurelia if you don't breathe you're going to pass out." He said sternly, "What happened?" He asked me. I shook my head, "What happened? Talk to me." He stated, staring at me in the eye.

I choked on my words, my mouth moving but no sound coming out. "Lyza is going to come over here any second and see you crying and then you'll have to explain the situation to her." Shoju said, holding me tightly.

"So you can wipe those tears and talk to me, or you can tell Lyza that her mother is never coming back."

His words sobered me up, bringing me back to life.

I sniffled, but he didn't let me go.

Instead he wiped my tears. "You're going to be okay. Everything will be okay, I promise." Shoju said softly. His dark eyes, soft smile and calm tone almost made me believe him.
