"I guess that place was a bust then huh." Bradley, a younger guy in the team.
"What do you mean?" Ollie asked, "I mean- it's crazy that there was walkers there, we've checked that place a hundred times."
Rez frowned, "Yeah... really weird." He flicked me the eyes and I shrugged. I needed to find Aurelia, she's my main focus right now.
"Hey, where-"
"Room four."
I thanked Angel with a wink and shuffled into room four.
Aurelia was sitting cross-legged on the bed pulling on her shoes.
"Is Ian actually dead?" She questioned. I nodded, "And that capitol wasn't alerted so, we're safe." I assured.
"For now." Aurelia mumbled. She seemed sad today, sadder than before.
I sat on the bed next to her and kissed her shoulder, "I'm sorry." She whispered.
"For what?" I immediately asked. She had tears in her eyes, "What are you sorry for?"
She sniffed, biting her bottom lip, "For leaving. For making you come find me. I nearly died, so many times."
I hugged her softly, "I know. But you're okay now, you're safe. Your medical checked out yeah?"
She nodded, "Yep. All good." She seemed hesitant, but I lay off. "You sure you're okay though? I feel like there's something you're not telling me."
She shook her head and smiled, kissing me quickly. She blushed, standing up before leaving.
I smirked, following her out shortly after.

Dinner rolled around but I was eating in my office. I had too much paperwork to do, especially with a new suspicion that has been whispered to me.
I had a knock on my door and I replied to come in. I didn't look up, but I could feel their presence.
The door clicked shut and then I looked up, "Joni- what are you doing in here?"
I quickly covered over my paperwork and grabbed my plate, "Just brought you some hot chocolate. Extra chocolate-y. Didn't want you to miss out."
She placed it on my desk and sat in the leather chair in front of my desk.
"Try it, it's really good." She insisted. I lifted it to my lips. It smells fine. I took a small sip and put it down again.
"Good right? I know, I made it myself." I smiled shortly at her, "Thanks Joni, but if you don't mind, I have a lot of work to do right now."
She sighed, "Fine. But can I stay in here? It's really lonely in my room." She pouted.
I shrugged, "Sure." I wasn't too happy about that but, there's nothing I can do. She won't leave, might as well keep her happy.
It had been twenty minutes and my dinner and half-a-cup of hot chocolate was gone.
I started to feel drowsy, loosening the collar of my shirt. "You okay babe?" Joni asked.
