"Y/n." Rose approached them. "You've lived in Beach City for about a month and a half."
Y/n nodded.
"..Well, in some time there will come a... couple challenges." Rose tried to soften the severity of her words.
"Challenges? Like what?" Y/n asked with a tinge of fear.
"Emotional, mental, and physical." She warned.
"What can I do to prepare?" Y/n questioned. "And how can you predict what the future holds?"
"I have my ways... I will bestow two abilities onto you for the time being. You can now fuse and think much quicker." She stated as Y/n started to feel different.
"Fuse..?" Y/n asked. They were cut off by a wailing alarm.
Y/n woke up to a call from Steven. They shuffled and furrowed their eyebrows in sleep before waking up and almost falling from the bed. They got their phone and picked it up.

"Yeah?"
"Can you come over?"
"Sure- Wait, why?
"We're gonna go see some warp pads!"
"I'm sure that's not the reason, but ok!"
"Great!"

Y/n stretched and put on some F/c loose-fitting and baggy clothing.
"Hey mom, can I hang out with Steven? I'll be back in a couple hours!" Y/n loudly asked from their room.
They heard the words "Sure." And "Call me if you need anything" over the sounds of television.

Y/n approached Steven's house and knocked on the door. Pearl opened the door and Steven ran to greet Y/n.
"Yo." They greeted.
"Good morning. We w-" Pearl was cut off by Steven
"We were just about to warp!" Steven said excitedly, he dragged Y/n inside.

"Woah..." Steven said in awe. Y/n walked off the warp pad and looked around in awe as well. They snapped some pictures before looking around a bit more.
"Hey, how does this warp pad work if it's chipped?" Y/n asked, bending down to inspect it.
"Inactive." Garnet stated as she landed on a shattered warp pad and observed it. Steven placed a crying breakfast friend sticker on it.
"Inactive!" Amethyst did the same. Steven placed a crying breakfast friend sticker on it too.
"Inactive.." Pearl followed suit. Steven placed a sticker there too.
"Do we have to check all of them? They're all still inactive like always!" Amethyst remarked.
"We need to make sure." Garnet asserted.
"I've never seen so many warp pads before. Have you?" Steven asked. He looked at Y/n.
"Nope. I've probably seen... 3." Y/n looked around.
"I hope I have enough crying breakfast stickers. Where do all these warp pads go anyway?" Steven asked
"Maybe... different planets?" Y/n answered hesitantly.
