Connie and Steven were sitting near a fireplace, Y/n was over in the kitchen making hot-chocolate in a medium-sized pot.
"Mmm... You're roasting good!" Steven pulled back his stick and ate the roasted marshmallow.
"Y/n! Could you make us some?" Connie asked.
"Sure thing.. so that's..." Y/n counted on their fingers. "Everyone." Y/n added a lot more milk and chocolate chunks. They got a whiff of the smell and smiled at it. They stepped away from the stove and ate a couple marshmallows.
"What's in these things to make them so... good?" Y/n asked.
"Maybe the animal by-product." Connie thought.
"You mean like... poop?" Steven looked disgusted.
"Animals produce more than poop." Y/n laughed. "Like leather, bone marrow..."
"...don't forget sugar and corn syrup." Connie added. Y/n went back to their pot to take it off of the stove. They poured hot chocolate into five cups, one of them just had pure chocolate chunks as per Amethyst's request. They were all topped with marshmallows.
Y/n put all of the drinks on the kitchen counter. They finally left the kitchen to go sit with Steven and Connie. They noticed Connie was on the phone worriedly.
"Oh no. Don't send Dad. I'll be home soon. Looks like I gotta get home soon." Connie said.
"Huh? What's that about?" Y/n asked.
"There's a snowstorm coming through, and my parents don't want me getting stuck here." She explained.
"Man! That stinks!" Steven exclaimed.
"Wouldn't it be fun if we all got snowed in together?" Connie questioned.
"We could stay up all night and watch the snow fall!"
"Hello, you three." The gems walked in from the Crystal temple.
"Hi, Garnet." The three said in unison.
"You all having a nice time?" Pearl asked
"Yeah, but Connie has to go soon." Y/n replied.
"There's a snowstorm on the way." Steven added.
"Maybe the storm will miss us. Sometimes the forecast is completely wrong." Y/n proposed.
"Nope. It's definitely going to snow." Garnet replied.
"Garnet has future vision." Steven whispered to Connie.
"You kids better get yourselves to Greg's." Garnet said.
"Wait! We can't go yet. I have to show Y/n and Connie a TubeTube video. It's like one minute long!" Steven pleaded.
"I know you don't want to go, but you have to make the right choice." Garnet kissed him on the forehead, she also approached Y/n and gave them the same kiss on the forehead.

The three had just left Steven's house and were walking across the snow near the coast.
"Y/n! Look out!" Connie pushed Y/n out of the way. Steven also ducked down. Snowballs were flying across the area. "..A snowball fight? We don't have time for this... you two go ahead, I'll cover you." Y/n motioned for them to run to Greg's car wash.
The human looked both ways and then darted to one of the sides' trenches. They held a ball of snow behind their back and threw it at the first thing they saw move. Onion walked off in defeat and three others followed.
"There, done, I forfeit. You guys win, go home!" Y/n yelled to the other side. Amethyst and two other humans left the trenches. The snow started to get a lot worse by the time Y/n got to Greg's car wash and got onto the road. The human's eyes seemed to focus on Steven's star, then everything became blurry.

"Okay, how about we quickly run to the Big Donut and then we get to the van." Y/n proposed.
"Sure." Steven said, following Y/n out the door.

The line inside the Big Donut was deceivingly short. Each person in front of them took at least five minutes.
"Okay, we're next, we might just have to run to the car wash. No big deal-" Y/n turned around to see that the door to the Big Donut was snowed in. They looked back down at Steven and Connie. Everything became blurry again

Steven and Y/n looked at each other with a distinct look. "What was that?" Steven spoke up first. "I shared my future vision with you two." Garnet replied. "What did you see?"
"Bad things." Y/n simply stated. Steven grabbed Connie's arm and all three rushed to Greg's van.

The four pulled up at Connie's house and got out of the van. Y/n and Steven shared a high-five. Connie's parents opened the door and she ran to hug them.
"Connie! Oh, thank goodness you're safe." Dr. Maheswaran exclaimed.
"Well, we better get going. Bye, Connie. Sorry we can't stay and watch the snow." Steven said, dejectedly.
"Aww." Y/n drooped.
"It's starting to get pretty bad out there. I don't know if you all should be driving in this weather." Mr. Maheswaran said. Y/n almost said something but didn't want to ruin the moment.
"Why don't you both stay here tonight?" Dr. Maheswaran said.
"Thank you so much!" Y/n exclaimed.

Y/n chose to sleep on the floor. They stared at the snow outside and thought about Lapis. "Will I ever see her again?" They thought, soon drifting to sleep.
