"Sorry guys..." Y/n mumbled to themself, leaving the barn and flying away.

Y/n had traditional islander clothing on and stacked coconuts. "Thanks, man." They muttered, putting one last coconut on a tower of big coconuts. To Y/n's dismay, the tower soon fell due to some shaking near the coast.

"This place is quiet, too quiet..." They mumbled, flying over to the coast where the shaking seemed to come from. To the human's surprise they saw a watermelon Steven with a yellow star on their chest.

"Steven?" Y/n asked, seeing them being carried to a cliff and watching as Malachite rose from the water. The human observed the scene from where they would be seen... however, they saw the watermelon Steven be eaten.

"...gross."

Y/n sat down playing the drums and hanging out with three other watermelon people. Two of them were playing hackysack and one of them was drumming with Y/n.

Suddenly one of the watermelon Stevens convulsed, then woke up and on queue the shaking started. When the watermelon Steven looked around a second time Y/n had vanished

"Give up! Argh!" She talked to herself, breaking free from her water chains.

"MALACHITE!" Y/n yelled out. They summoned two longswords and ascended into the sky, drawing a crowd of watermelon folk's attention as well as Malachite's attention.

"Huh? They're here.." She acknowledged them.

Y/n quickly thought of something cool to say, yelling "We can do this the easy way or the hard way! I won't hesitate to beat the orange out of you!"

Y/n saw Malachite continue talking to herself. "That cannot be healthy." They thought.

"Ugh, stop.."

"Pathetic! Don't you see?"

"We've been holding us back for too long. And for what? If we're going to be this thing together, why don't we have some fun?"

"You two are gonna unfuse or be unfused! By me! As in: I will make you two unfuse by force!"

"That was implied."

Malachite formed water fists and grinned evilly. Y/n flew straight at Malachite, spinning around and slashing at her. They heard grunts of pain which signaled that the attacks actually hurt.

"Weak!" The abomination growled, shooting ice spears that the human had to dodge. They were dodging every attack pretty well until Malachite formed an ice wall that Y/n flew straight into.

"That wasn't very iceee..." They groaned, taking a breather before resuming their attacks.

"You can't beat me, human." Malachite laughed, slamming Y/n into the water with a water hand. The fusion was holding them down, but since they were so small Y/n slipped out and swimmed onto the shore. Watermelon folk stared at Y/n who was gasping for air, the Crystal Gems were also watching Y/n, but the human didn't notice.

"Y/n! What are you doing here?" Garnet asked, slightly raising her voice.

"G-garnet? When did you guys get here?? Uhhhhhmm... would you believe me if I said 'business'?" Y/n chuckled nervously.

"No." She responded.

"Then I'm not here for business." They said.

The conversation didn't last long, Y/n got back up and flew at Malachite, staggering her with an uppercut. "You should've stayed down." Malachite snarled.

"Where's the fun in that??" Y/n asked, blinding Malachite with light and knocking her down with a large hammer made from light. . . When they least expected it, they were captured by a water hand that started to freeze.

"You're right. This is fun!" Malachite cackled, flying into the ice hand with her helmet and sending Y/n into a tree.

"Where am I??" Y/n asked. Around them was pure white, nothing and nobody in sight.

"You took a pretty hard hit to the head, and pretty much everywhere."

"Right. Ow. Major owie."

"I hate to say it, but I told you this was a stupid idea. What part of unstable fusion was unclear?"

"If you're gonna keep disrespecting my act of bravery I'm gonna stop this conversation right here."

"Uh, this was an act of desperaction. Don't lie to me. Besides, you could've died."

"It's all Jasper's fault. I did this for Lapis... as a friend."

"Yeah, right."

Y/n began moving after a couple minutes and got up... getting up was a major pain. It could be described as a severe continuous migraine. Looking at anything felt painful, and a lot of noises felt irritating to hear.

"I'm gonna feel this for a lot of mornings." Y/n groaned, walking to the shores. The land was cracking, and one watermelon Steven in particular had went limp.

"Y/n!" Garnet yelled, looking over at them.

"Yep, it's me." Y/n greeted them.

"It's not safe here, and the warp is broken, stay close!" Garnet exclaimed.

They slowly walked over to Garnet, but slipped on something.

Suddenly, a fissure appeared beneath Y/n! They fell for a little bit and it got pretty hot under the surface, but a whip caught their body and started dragging the teenager up.

"Phew..."

Then the whip broke.

"AMETHYST!!" Y/n cried out. However, nobody came.
