"..What do we do??" Y/n asked in exasperation.
The kid hopped onto a vein of the Crystal Heart. "We slide down." Y/n had to think for a minute before sliding down with him. Steven was skimming for Peridot's gem when Y/n arrived.
"Is that it?" They pointed to a green dorito triangle in the air.
"Yeah!" Steven exclaimed, climbing a vein to obtain her gem.
"Be careful on the way-" Y/n saw Steven fall off the vein and get Peridot's bubble popped.
"-THE CLUSTER, you insufferable half-formed traitor MEGA-CLODS!!!" Peridot finished her sentence.
The two gawked at Peridot's new stature. "Oh my gosh... you're so... cuuute!" Steven walked around her.
"You're like two feet tall now!" Y/n chirped.
The green little person looked around her body. "My limb enhancers! Where are my limb enhancers?!"
"Aw, you're like.. an angry little slice of pie!" Steven said.
"Stop talking! I demand to know what this place is, and where I-" She saw the array of other bubbled gems. "Oh my stars... You're going to harvest me?!"
"Uh, no." Y/n looked at her as if she was crazy. She slapped Steven in panic.
"Ow, that hurt!" Steven held his cheek. "...It did?" Peridot asked. "Yeah, a lot." He confirmed.
"Yes! Feel my unbridled rage!" Peri began slapping Steven repeatedly. Y/n had to get behind Peridot and restrain her. "Hey! What's that on your shirt?" Steven said, Y/n snickering as they knew what he was doing. "What's a shirt?" Her nose was flicked by Steven's finger.
"Bwahahahaaahaha!" Y/n fell over and released Peridot who tackled Steven and kept slapping him. "You smashed me into a limbless cloud! You trapped me in your bubble dungeon! And, you called me... cute!" She blushed, barely missing a punch at Steven.
"I find you cute, too! Now, stop assaulting us!" Y/n exclaimed, making Peridot pause her attack on Steven and briefly blush.
"I freed you, not poof!" Steven added.
"What purpose did that serve?" Asked Peridot.
"Back at the Warp Pad, what were you trying to say? Why do we need you? What do you know?" Steven started.
"What do I know? Everything there is to know about the Cluster, you pebble." She responded.
"the Cluster?? Go on."
"My mission. The reason why I'm on this sad rock in the first place! I was to check progress on the Cluster! Just in and out, before it hatches. I wasn't supposed to get stuck here! But now it's going to emerge and nothing can stop it, and we'll all be shattered!" She panicked the more that she explained.
"Uh... can you explain more? I forgot how to breathe... I got distracted." Y/n asked.
"...I believe there is something on your shirt." Peridot looked at Y/n's clothing and got closer.
"Wait, this is a hood-" Y/n fell over out of shock and their nose being flicked.
"Hey, wait!" They got up and flew out of the Burning Room and into the beach house. Y/n crashed into Peridot who quickly dragged them into the bathroom and locked the door.
"You may have won the war, but the battle isn't over, CRYSTAL CLODS!" Peridot exclaimed.
"Hey, wait, that analogy is wrong." The human interjected. "Hmm... Seems I discovered some sort of archaic... think-chamber. Roomy, with a fresh hint of Earth citrus."
Y/n took out their phone and started texting their parents.
"Do you think you could like... let me go?"
"NO! You're my hostage." She looked at the toilet. "A perfect crossroads for my escape."
"I'm not even gonna tell you how bad of an idea that is." They said, texting a lot more.
"Peridot!" Garnet called from outside. "Alright, no more fighting. Let's just have a civil conversation."
"Finally!" Y/n muttered.
"As if I'd negotiate with you, filthy war machine!" Peri refused.
"..dammit."
Y/n closed their eyes for at most one minute and saw Peridot turning a knob marked red with steaming water coming into the tub.
"Hey, idiot-"
She jumped out of the tub quickly while screaming "H-h-hot hot hot!"
After a few minutes the conversation between inside and outside the bathroom stopped. The two were now scrolling through social media. The two were reluctantly huddled up and touching.
Y/n scrolled onto a video about Valentine's Day, and they stuck there for a little bit.
"Why are my eyes watering? I don't care about them anymore, right? Right??"
"..."
"Human!" Peridot interrupted their thoughts. "The comedic skit has finished, continue scrolling!"
Y/n smiled at Peridot and ruffled her hair before scrolling once again.

Y/n woke up and saw Peridot with Y/n's plugged in phone kicking her feet up.
"What'cha doin, cutie patootie?" They scooted closer to her.
"What's a cutie patootie??" Steven turned and asked.
"AA- I mean, good morning to you too." Y/n muttered sheepishly. "Can you pass me that?" Steven asked, pointing to a toothbrush. The human really had to stretch to get it.
"Is that a weapon?" Peri asked. She's an idiot when it comes to mundane things, but a fun idiot.
"Nope." They handed it off to him.
"Is that a weapon?" Peridot pointed to a comb. "We don't keep weapons in a bathroom," Y/n asserted. "I need to get ready now."
"Look, I know you're scared, but I'm not going to hurt you. And whatever's going on, whatever the "Cluster" is, I wanna help." Steven looked directly at her.
"We." The human materialized a toothbrush.
