It was the worst pain I felt in my life... it wasn't even physical, it's like I was together in the sun with someone I loved; Then my loved one died, and a blizzard hit. I- it was my fault, that's why we always lose.
I was... in the control room with Jasper and Peridot.
"WAKE UP!" I heard, clearly, Jasper's voice yelling at me. I looked around and struggled to stand. "H-how long was I out??" I asked.
"It doesn't matter. We're going to homeworld so Yellow Diamond can see Rose's form." Jasper growled.
"I'm a human. Why am I here?"
"A HUMAN cannot FUSE with a GEM." She barked.
"Sheesh, your breath stinks." I joked, and then laughed at my joke. She didn't really find it funny because she summoned her weapon.
"Jasper! We're bringing it too! I saw it bending light, Yellow-" "Yes, Yellow Diamond needs to see it too." Jasper cut Peridot off. She walked to Peridot and the ships control for a couple of minutes. As for me? I bugged the cameras with light then crawled away, then I summoned light wings and glided as fast and far as I could.
I took a right at a crossroads and the hallways started getting narrow, and there was something- someone at the end! "It's Y/n! I'll free yo-"
I stopped when I saw her. Lapis Lazuli, the one we helped.
"What are you doing here? You're supposed to be with Jasper." Lapis asked, curled with her knees up to her chest in her cell.
"I figured Steven and the gems can handle this. I'll stay with you until they come and get us." I answered with a smile.
"What if they don't?"
"I'll probably starve on homeworld." I nonchalantly explained. "If they do win, then you can finally be free.. hold on." I was going to touch the yellow barrier that separated us but... I could pretty much recall how painful the destabilizer was. Lapis definitely noticed.
"Are you okay..?" She looked up at me.
"Of course." I bit the inside of my cheek and leapt into the cell. It was over before I knew it, but it felt like... really weak voltage. Maybe I felt so much pain because of Amethyst's pain.
"Oh, great." Steven and a red gem approached.
"Y/n! Lapis! I can get you two out." He enthusiastically said with a black eye.
"Oh, you can too? Cool. We'll catch up, we're just talking right now." I lied. I really don't want to lie to him any more than this.
"Alright! Ruby! Wait up!" He sped off. There was a long silence after that, so I scooted closer to her.
"...Why are you being so nice to me?" Lapis turned to me and asked.
"I've been a solo act before... It's no fun. You've been dealt a bad hand, but that's okay..." I rambled.
"Do you want any food?" I pulled out a little bag with two Wafls in them.
"No thanks." She looked down.
"C'mon, for me?" I pleaded, handing her one. She looked at it and took it from my hands, eating it.
"It's... good." She commented. I took it as a personal win. "I-" I was cut off by the sound of an explosion.
"Y'know... we're really high up in space..." I shakingly said, looking at the window. I would die without any oxygen. Nobody came for me, for us.
"I try to act like I don't care, but I don't wanna die like this."
"I'm scared." I choked and tried not to cry. I felt her head leaning on my shoulder.
"We're falling... it's over, huh?" I looked at her, silently accepting of my situation

I opened my eyes expecting sun and joy, all I saw was fire, and in front of me was Jasper.
"Fuse with me!" She grinned evilly. "You were under a pile of rubble, they didn't come back for you, did they?" Even though she was trying to entice me, I started to consider her offer.
"Leave Y/n alone. I'll fuse with you." Lapis stepped up, lifting herself from a piece of rubble.
Jasper dropped me onto the sand and took Lapis' hand. The two briefly danced before fusing into a giant green fusion. Water arms that became chains dragged Malachite into the sea.
"Lapis! I'll... I'll come back for you..!" I said, watching her face sink into the ocean.
"Yikes. They are really bad for each other." Garnet nonchalantly stated.
"Dude, are you okay?" Amethyst asked.
"Y/n!" Pearl yelled.
