"This presentation is a horrible idea... I'm here for it."
"Of course you are."
"Your part is coming up."
Peridot snapped her fingers to queue Y/n to come in with a globe-colored box on their head. Peridot smacked the box with a flyswatter in place of a pointer.
"This is the Earth! At the very center of the planet's core lies... the Cluster! Rotate." Peridot commanded, Y/n turned around to show the Earth's core and the Cluster inside.
She pointed at the drawing on the box. "This is the Cluster. A massive, artificial fusion composed of millions of Gem shards. It has laid dormant for thousands of years within this planet's crust. When this Gem activates and takes its form, the result will be catastrophic. Now!" Peri hit the box again.
Y/n turned back around to show the Earth and then a snake puppet going through it.
"What is that!?" Peridot asked.
"I took some creative liberty with the clusters design."
"It does not look like that. But it is real, and it can activate at any moment!" Peri continued, slapping the puppet with her flyswatter.
"Grahhh" Y/n said in a muffled tone.
"What a cluster." Amethyst commented.
"That abomination must be stopped." Said Garnet.
"But how? We'll need to build some sort of machine to take us to the center of the Earth, it'll have to-" Pearl started speaking all nerd-like until Peridot swatted her.
"Hey! I wasn't finished speaking! What we need is to build some sort of machine to take us to the center of the Earth," she said. "It'll need to withstand up to 360 gigapascals of pressure and temperatures of 9800 degrees."
"What the heck is a gigascalpel??"
"Well, we mustn't waste time. We need to start finding parts for this machine immediately." Pearl started.
"Yes. Obviously. We'll start by dismantling all devices inside this dwelling." Peridot instructed.
"Huh?"
Peridot ran into the kitchen and grabbed the microwave. "This primitive radiation concentrator should come in handy!" Then she grabbed a corded phone. "This primitive vibration transmitter could possibly serve a function!"
"What is she doing??" Y/n asked.
"There's a remote chance something useful could be inside this primitive image cube!" She grabbed Steven's TV and smashed it.
"Wait!" He ran up to Peridot. "I have a better idea that doesn't involve destroying the house!"
"Oh is this what I think it is??"
"Yep." Amethyst replied to them. "Classic Steven."

Y/n soared over the barn and landed in front of it. Pearl and Peridot showed up with the latter inspecting the place.
"All right. What we have here in the barn should be adequate enough for us to get started. First, I recommend we organize the component types and assemble a rough blueprint based off what we have available." Pearl said.
"You could just say 'We have enough to get started, we should organize everything and make a blueprint', Pearl." Y/n mumbled, flying inside the spacious barn and looking throughout it.
Steven spun on a chair and showed the two gems a drawing of a spaceship drill.
"Somethin' tells me that this drill won't look exactly like that.." Y/n flew out of the barn and observed the chalkboard drawing. Y/n noticed Steven stop spinning and frown. Peridot picked up a piece of chalk and handed it to Pearl.
"Hmm. Good, yes, this is adequate. Thank you. You can go now." Peridot muttered.
Y/n, Pearl, and Steven all exchanged glances. "Uh, what?" Pearl asked. "Hm? Umm.. That will be all?" Peridot clapped her hands.
"How do you get her to leave?" Peridot whispered to Steven.
"Seriously? You don't just get to tell her to leave." Y/n chimed in, glaring at Peridot. "Yeah! She's gotta stay here to help us build the drill thing, right?" Steven added.
"No, no. You're confused. A Pearl can't build a thing like this." Peri chuckled slightly.
"Why not?" Steven inquired.
"Yeah, why not?" Y/n slightly raised their voice. Pearl secretly admired how they stuck up for her.
"Because Pearls aren't for this! They're for standing around, and looking nice, and holding your stuff for you... right?" Peridot explained. Both Steven and Pearl saw how Peridot unintentionally aggravated Y/n.
"That's enough. If we're going to work together, you're going to have to listen to me." Pearl tried diffusing the situation. "Listen to you?" The short gem laughed. "Did you teach her to talk like this?"
"What are you talking about?" Steven asked.
"She's a Pearl. She's a made-to-order servant just like the hundreds of other Pearls being flaunted around back on Homeworld."
"I have no idea why the hell you think you can run this place but our Pearl has been much more useful than your egotistical ass, partially because you haven't built anything for us yet, but one way or another you're going to RESPECT HER." Y/n ranted. "Nobody cares what Homeworld roles mean or say. Homeworld is the reason we have this stupid cluster problem in the first place."
"U-um..." Steven stuttered, showing very clearly that he was uncomfortable. "Shoot, I swore.." Y/n mumbled. "I think I'm gonna... go."
Y/n awkwardly walked away, forming light wings and blasting off.
—----------------
"What the...?" Y/n mumbled, seeing two robots grab each other. They decided to get a closer look by diving down. To Y/n's disappointment the two were fighting.
"Well, have you ever seen a Pearl do this!?" She asked, having her robot kick Peridot's.
"Guys? What's going on??" Y/n asked. Everyone had their sights on the giant robot brawl. Peridot's robot tackled Pearl's and the two started to wrestle each other. "STOP! Giant robots shouldn't fight!" Steven exclaimed.
Y/n flew into the fight and tried to talk to the gems. "Peridot! What happened to respecting her??" They asked, getting a grimace from Peridot. Pearl had her robot lift Peridot's robot and throw it. "Pearl! You aren't helping either!"
While Pearl was distracted, Peridot's claw arm threw a punch that left a large crack in Pearl's robot. The two robots began to lock arms. "This is pointless! There's no way you're gonna beat me! You're an accessory! Somebody's shiny toy! Where do you get off acting like your own Gem?!" Peridot's robot ripped off one of the arms from Pearl's robot, however, Pearl physically punched Peridot. "That's right! I am a Pearl!" She exclaimed, embracing herself. Her robot leapt into the air and descended towards Peridot with a kick.
"I've won!" Peridot eagerly exclaimed. Pearl's robots legs were swiftly chopped off by an unknown force. Her cockpit rolled onto the ground with one arm, completely missing Peridot.
"Nyehehehe!" Peridot grinned. She was about to slam one of her robots arms onto Pearl when it was chopped off. "What the-?!" Peridot looked around and saw the severed robot arm on the ground.
Y/n whistled in the crowd and looked away from the ongoing battle. "I think N/n did that.." Pearl deduced. The two soon got out of their destroyed robots and chased Y/n.
"I'M INNOCENT I SWEAR!!"
