Y/n and Pearl were walking to the barn with a couple drinks. The human looked at a bottle of water and suddenly got an idea.

"Pearl?"

"Yes?"

"Is water wet?"

"Water can't be wet because wetness comes from being doused with other liquids." Pearl replied.

Y/n smiled deviously and responded "So... water is dry??"

"Ugh... we have been over this once, water isn't dry either." She sighed.

"It has to be one or the other." They chuckled. Pearl pinched the bridge of her pointy nose before acknowledging what Y/n said.

"Okay, Y/n, is grass wet?" Asked the tall gem. Y/n quickly responded no.

"It isn't a solid." They replied.

The human's logic irked Pearl. "What you said doesn't even make sense and you know that. Wet grass is still a solid. Plain grass isn't wet because there's a lack of water."

"Are humans wet? We're mostly water." Y/n asked.

"No. You would have to be COVERED in water."

"Aha! Water is covered by water, so it's wet!" Y/n exclaimed.

She finally gave up and told Y/n something to the effect of 'sure'.

"Garnet! Amethyst! Pearl!" Steven called out from the barn.

"What the?" Y/n muttered.

Steven closed the barn door and showed the four a communicator. The four were shocked upon seeing it, gasping in shock.

"She took a direct line to the Diamonds!" Pearl took the communicator. "From the moon base? What was she thinking?"

"Man, after everything we've gone through, she's still out to get us! Ohh, I'm takin' back all my cool nicknames for her! So long, Peri and P-dot, hello... Ahhh, I'm too mad! I'll think of something later." Amethyst said. Then a car horn started honking.

"Did you trap her in a car?" Y/n asked. Steven nodded.

"I guess she found the horn." They plugged their ears with their fingers.

Y/n felt like comforting Steven, so they rubbed his head. "It's okay, bud. She just doesn't see how cool Earth is."

"I guess she doesn't..."

"You offered her a lot of your trust." Garnet added.

"I did! And it blew up in my face. You guys have been protecting Earth for thousands of years. She could've destroyed all of that. A whole Earth, why did I think I could change her mind?" Steven asked.

"Don't blame yourself, we can just change her mind with force or.."

"No no no, I don't want to tell her what to do. She should just know. Shouldn't she?" Steven asked.

"Why're you so kind??" Y/n jokingly elbowed him.

"He believes in everyone." Garnet answered. "Like his mother, he seems to have a little more patience than the rest of us. But the truth is, not everyone deserves that patience."

"Look on the bright side. At least you got this thing away from her before she did any real damage." Pearl added.

"Hallelu-" Y/n started, but was cut off by one of the sides of the barn exploding. "You just had to jinx it."

Steven turned around to see Peridot in her giant mech. "OHHH NOOOO!" He exclaimed. Peridot laughed maniacally.

"How did she escape?!" Steven asked. Peridot threw the truck door over.
